Here his words: c12I've just finished reading issue 25 and found the article about the common question thinking on upgrading and more powerfull machines taking over the whole scene really interesting. It could be named "To be or not to be?". I tought lot of times about this question and about the maybe unfindable answer and - quite strange - my mind found a well suitable solution for the enigma, I think. In my personal opinion the problem is not really centered on machines, the real problem can be found in every Scener's way of thinking. c13I'm going to explain: c11I always seen Scene as something mixing a flavour of art, a lot of friendship and a bit of underground- unknown- hidden style. The main difference between a Scener and a "normal" computer user is that we used to pull out from our machines always the impossible, just take a look at C=64 productions nowadays. And here we are being near to the solution, do you think Leonardo could be worse if he used another kind of brush, or if he lived in 90's ? I think not. The difference is not made by the instrument, but is made by human mind and personal touch. c13Here you are, my answer: c12I think upgrading is fine, but only if we go on pushing our machines to their best, I don't want to be like some PC coders who head their work just on processing power saying: f4 "It runs slow? Who cares, next year will be available Pentium 700 and then you'll see it running!"f1. Finally (I'm starting to be boring) I just want to say that, in my personal opinion, Scene will live forever, only if we go on doing things that other "normal" people can't do. Not just praying holy Intel to pop up with a new faster (bugging) processor, if we fall in the mistake to upgrade only because producing will be more easy to do we'll be like Micro$*%& programmers. And I really prefer stop "Scening" than being a father Bill and mother Intel's son. c13Graphically yours c12Rio/Elven Eleven
