b1a0tMagic speaks outtMagic/Nah-Kolortfps2f2c01 Sane and me; Magic speaks out f1c02 by Magic of Nah-kolor c04This is a reaction on the article written by Sane/Sardonyx about me joining the Seenpoint staff published in Generation#25 I joined the Seenpoint staff during the Summer of 1997. I know Sane for quite a while now, we cooperated on the preview diskmagazine Trinity back in the first half of 1995 and Sane lives about 30km from my place. I think it was a good thing Sane wrote an explanation text in the last issue of Generation, yet I have some critical reactions to point out on these writings. c03To start off with I know Fishwave since a few weeks after the first Seenpoint issue saw the light of day, we swapped around and lateron we emailed quite frequently. I supported Seenpoint also in Issue 3. After a small break in the scene I contacted my good friend Fishwave and asked him if I could help making Seenpoint even better, he didn't waste any time and let me join. This because he knows my qualities and because of our friendship. c04f4'For various reasons I do not agree with his articles, I do not agree with a huge percentage of his work' f1Sane wrote in the article. c02Ofcourse this is quite understandable. But I have to point out that even I don't agree on alot of Fishwave's articles. E.g. Fishwave morphed my positive article about ROM into a very negative one in Seenpoint#6, on top of this he changed the original title 'WE WANT ROM!' into 'DO WE NEED ROM?' Also alot of articles in e.g. the first issues of Seenpoint are really intimidating and bull towards alot of groups and editors. But this doesn't mean that the articles aren't quality, or atleast above average. I can't imagine that Sane agrees with these kind of articles aswell. c04f4'People would have thought I was of that same opinion because we belonged to the same editor staff'f1 Sane wrotes along in the same article. c03In this sentence Sane is stating that I would without any doubt write something bad/stupid and that people will definitly think it's Sane's oppinion aswell.. Somehow this makes me wonder if Sane really is an objective kind of guy. I am now supporting Seenpoint (read: Fishwave) with some quality articles, even before I read your article, you won't go between me and Fishwave with this behaviour. In the end sceners can read who wrote the article, thus also whose oppinion it is. Yet this only counts for articles where 'oppinions' are the main ingredient. And not just a nice interview, review or just a news article based on facts.. c01Sane: c03f4'On top of Magic his work on which I do not agree and do most certainly not wish to be connected to, I also do not like his attitude in general' f1c02Grow up, I mean we are all mature right? Your oppinion of my attitude is based on various diskmag sources and certain Dutch sceners. Write in all diskmagazines for a period of e.g. half a year negative remarks about someone and people start to believe. My attitude is a symbol, shaped and boosted by certain sceners/writers. Everyone who believes all there is written about me must be a madman I guess.. I think of all people even you should have seen trough this mr.Sane. c01Sane: c03f4'Magic is bragging about being the new second 'Main' editor' f1c02Again I must add here you are trusting the wrong sources. I can remember someone who asked me what I was doing since I came back to the scene after a (small) break, since Fishwave just e-mailed me you left, I told him I joined Seenpoint as 2nd main-editor, that's all there is to it really. Some guys certainly boosted this news. c01Sane: f4c03'Fishwave sended magic away, and asked me back into the Cn.staff' f1c02Though I know Fishwave longer as you, though I supported Seenpoint before you even got involved, you were closer to Fishwave since I took a (small) break, no reason he asked you back. Also since you already were in the staff, and should be listened to as in every real life company. Yet from what I can remember from our phonecall, we wouldn't go into the press about this whole matter, - what actually was - a small misunderstanding. You are free to have your oppinion, I respect that, yet going in public with it is pure damaging someone's image. In real life I could sue your butt to court and get some money out of it and making sure you place a rectification. For example Lady Di was the main topic for years in various UK magazines. It's all part of being a 'public person' Yet there isn't any scene court of law, or sceners lawbooks 1-7a and 8 ;) No really, I had to react to clear this matter, I wish you good luck with Seenpoint, and I hope to see alot of issues in the future. Only next time be more objective and think before you write something please..
