(which rules) and Metro Olografix (which feature the most cyberpunk name), the craziest Italian scenish event will be held during three days, and this time it'll be very probable that the party animals won't be thrown out of the place during the night (Just if they behave correctly! ndTHR). c04It is said that the party officially will start on Friday 11th and will have an official ending with prize-giving on Sunday 13th, but Generation, asking the very same Metaldesigner, got assured that the doors will be closed on Monday morning. In case you feel you can't breath because of the smoke or the boiling atmosphere, organizers have settled a free camping site next to the party place, so, don't forget your picnic stuff... c02...and who will be the best Italian Scener 1998? c04Compared to last year's list, we can't avoid to underline the fact there are more pc sceners (such as Dustbin and It-Alien), most of the candidates belong to the so called fourth or even fifth generation (Corrosion, Stile9), and all of them were very active in the past months. Personally I think organizers (Metaldesigner) have made the right choice, including these names. Productivity must be the main, even if not the unique, parameter in this kind of judgement. c03As always, to give to the readers a wider glance, Generation had a chat with the very same "dux" of the party. Generation: So, Metal, how many people are you expecting for this year's Tig? c02Metaldesigner:c02 Well, actually I believe all irc users of #Abruzzo channel will attend the festival, and they're around fifty noisy guys... No, apart from kidding I expect the usual one hundred real Italian sceners and some others. I really hope to have some strangers. c03G: Ehm, after you made Rokdazone and Tassel sleeping in the waiting room of Pescara Main Station I doubt... Anyway let's change topic. What about this 512K compo? c02MD: I got the idea and Azure did the rest. Nothing else to add. c03G: Why a foreign scener should be interested in attending Tig'98? c02MD: Because it's for free, prizes are for free, you can know Psyko and his "Casatiello", a delicious cake from Napoli, you have a beautiful sea very close... c03G: So, you can confirm me that the party place is close to the beach? MD: Yes, actually 100-200 metres. c02G: Then you're going to organize a beach-soccer compo or swimming-compo? c03MD: Well, not me directly, but, as I've written in the invitation file, everybody's invited in organizing what he wants, and I'm sure some of the crazy guys present will do that. Anyway, just to close this short chat, which are your final words? c03MD: That I'm sorry for what happened last year, but I believe most of the people wrote about last edition of Tig (RokDaZone and Parsec) did not care enough of the fact the event was for free, prizes had been given immediately, sound equipment worked well and things like that... c04That's all folks.
