Next go to the character select screen, highlight "Eiji", press and hold U, and then press any attack button. You will now be playing as Gaia. Play As Sho (boss): Select Gaia as your character as described above. Lose to your first opponent and do not continue. Then on controller two, when at the title screen, while the words scroll down the sides onto the screen, press L, R, L, R, L, and S (or, if you've changed button config, press "weak slash"). If entered correctly, you will hear the word "Fight" and the "Vs." letters will now be blue. All tips to be entered on the RACE, QUALIFY or PRACTICE screen. You also have to enter the button presses rather quickly, so please practice until the cheat appears. BONUS TRACK Hold SELECT and press the following: LEFT, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, UP & RIGHT. BUGGY MODE Hold SELECT and press the following: RIGHT, UP, TRIANGLE, LEFT, UP, SQUARE & TRIANGLE. BIKE MODE Hold SELECT and press the following: DOWN, UP, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE, RIGHT, UP, SQUARE & TRIANGLE. Here's some F1 tips written by Dave Kirk of Apex Systems (Blobz, World Golf and World of F1 fame) - Over to you Dave... Set the race set-up to dry weather, 20% distance, and the car set-up to infinite (0) fuel, no chassis or tyre damage. Also set the difficulty to HARD when you've had plenty of practice, or MODERATE if you're a beginner, and choose to drive as either Hill (Hooray!) or Schumacher (Boo!). With these settings, a race will last for between 10-15 laps and take between 18 and 22 minutes to complete. If you're on a 20% race, switching tyre damage ON is crazy! Your tyres will fuck up about 2 laps from the end, and there's no way you can pull out enough of a lead to make a pit-stop. Of course, if you don't change 'em, you can't accelerate round corners safely, or even clip the kerb with the tyres - it'll spin the car around... Car damage should always be switched OFF. The computer cars are so blatently stoopid, they will ram you off the road as soon as look at you. Basically, your car will get trashed at the first corner as 20 odd cars plough into the back of you. Artificial intelligence? Nah! Artificial Stupidity, more like! Car set-up is VERY important! Obviously if the car is invincible with unlimited fuel, there's only the wing settings to worry about. Hockenheim (Germany) has a really long straight section of track, so it's very tempting to use minimum downforce so the car can reach 220mph+. DON'T DO THIS, because the distance you gain on the straights will be lost as you crawl round the sharp corners. Set the downforce to half (two notches from top or bottom). The car will still get to about 205mph on the straights, but going around the tight corners is much easier. If a car is right behind you on approach to a corner, don't stay on the outside and dive into it as you normally would. Stay more towards the left to block his path, otherwise you'll just get shoved off half way through the turn. Learn to control the car on grass! I'm guessing you've already spent a lot of unwanted time here! The best way to move on recovery from a spin on grass is to stay in 1st or 2nd gear and "blip" the accelerate button, and DON'T ACCELERATE WHILE TURNING! By "blipping", I mean hold accelerate for about 1 sec, and release it for about ¼ sec, and repeat it until you're safe. Holding down the accelerator for any length of time while on grass will just make the car spin again. EASY TRACKS FOR RELATIVE BEGINNER? Access the hidden track "FireStar": Highlight "one player", then press and hold (L1+R1+R+START+S+O+X) to add the FireStar track to your track list. Full Turbo Start: You need to have the thrust bar touching the bar between (counting from the right) box three and four the moment the race starts to start the game as if you had activated a boost power-up. A slightly easier way to time this trick is to push thrust at the very moment the announcer ends the word "ONE", but not before the sound of his voice trails off. Timing is crucial on this trick, so you will probably have to practice it a good bit to get it down correct. (This seems to work with all of the cars.) Medium Turbo Start: Start the race with your thrust fluctuating between boxes six and seven for quick acceleration from the starting line. Suggested Vehicles/Drivers: The best overall vehicle/driver set-up for all tracks looks to be the Feisar Team, using Paul Jackson as the driver. Next best seems to be AG Systems, using John Dekka as the driver. oooOOOOooo WORMS: ~~~~~~ To generate one of your own landscapes, press X at the start of a game. (X = the cross button on control pad) A list of letters will appear. You can cycle through these with the Up and Down buttons. To alter the colour of your character, hold down RIGHT when you select them! This should work for 'em all except The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Doink. Try holding LEFT to alter their colours instead.
