<> *4@5 GAMETEK - PART TWO *3]5@6 by SKiDZ / A51 *1]1 @1 Many of you will remember (If you read BTF regularly!), that I asked GameTek to swap my disk version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo for the CD³² version, which they did. ]5Well, I'm glad to say that GameTek have done it again!]1 I recently bought a copy of Star Crusader from Electronics Boutique for my A1200 and was quite happy with it except for the amount of HD space taken up by the game, so I simply wrote to Chris at Gametek (Yet again!). Sure! He'd swap the disks for a nice CD³² version for me no probs :) So I sent off the disks and a few days later..... Into my Zappo went the CD³² version of the game and I must say I was impressed with this one. It has full speech by many actors and is a joy to play from CD also. It's not the best game in the world, but I am currently buying just about any Amiga software titles that I can to help show my support. I hope most of you are too. Anyway, I'd like to thank Chris for all his help. Sadly, Chris has informed myself that GameTek are no longer working on Amiga titles! They are concentrating on both the PC and the N64! It's a shame to see yet another company leaving the Amiga - especially since GameTek have produced some great Amiga titles in the past. Let's hope that whoever buys out the Amiga (I do hope someone does soon). It means that more software companies will return to our beloved machine. There is still a market for games out there and I for one buy as many titles as I can afford (mostly CD's from mail order companies such as Epic and Premiere Mail Order). We can only hope that the new breed of Amiga's will piss all over the PC's from a great height. I, like many others, work with PC's all day. I have to sell the phukkers for a living in fact! This MMX stuff is shit and as for the 16 speed CD drives - pants! Windows 95 is far too slow and try and tell a PC owner how a real multi-tasking computer should work! They just don't understand how good the Amiga is. It pisses me off, but that's another article!
