<> *4@3 AMOS - HELPFUL ADVICE *3]5@4 by Skidz/A51 *1]1 @1 After reading the review of MultiMag in issue 5 of BTF, I was surprised to hear about the flashing white screen bug with MM! I know what causes this and how to fix it, so here comes the very useful tip for ]3ALL]1 AMOS users out there who have noticed this pain in the arse bug! It's caused by tracker mods with the Block Loop command. (Don't ask me its proper name, but you all know what I mean! Ya know.... when a block of the song is jumped to from another block?) Well, AMOS doesn't like this (it doesn't like much to do with anything really), so the best way to overcome this prob is ]3NOT]1 to use the Block Loop/Jump command in your mods or better still... Get a copy of CRAFT for AMOS. Not only will you be able to use the Block Jump command in your tracker mods without the nasty white flash, but CRAFT has a better tracker player routine too. (Only up to PTracker 2.1 but it is 100% better than the AMOS routine.) You can also use CRAFT to turn off some channels so that you can play sound FX at the same time as playing music. etc. As well as that, CRAFT also offers loads of other AMOS commands which can be quite helpful at times. (Good encryption! etc.) I've also heard of the ENHANCED MUSIC EXTENSION for AMOS which is supposed to be really kewl, but haven't seen the full version yet! I'm also trying to get AMOS to play mods using the third party tracker libraries, but without any luck as of yet!!! One day... @3[...already! Try loading the muzik modules for BTF6 into a normal AMOS module player!!!! zYLAX!]@1 Anyway, good luck everyone and a special message to Shaun.... Keep up the good work with MM. Let's team up and write a tutorial on writing disk mags for BTF soon m8. I'm sure it'll make a good read and we can even bounce (awch!) ideas off each other at the same time :) DMC won't be updated for some time now due to my other commitments, so MM will no doubt become very popular over the next few months m8. Good luck.
