˙˙00˙ ˙00˙01˙03˙01Oepir Award˙00 ˙ ˙01˙01 ˙We're sad to say that everyone who wanted to win a rusty lawn-mover manufactured in the golden year of 1962, a Chinese book on the shape of teacups or 25 balloons with the Slottsskogen logo on them in the reoccurring Oepir Risti random competition, is, by all means, fooled. The competition is no more and no more competitions - in the Oepir Risti competition manner - are planned. Instead we introduce the ˙02Oepir Award˙01. The prizes will be similar to those of "Competition" but randomness will no longer decide who gets the, by the Oepir Risti staff selected, merchandise. S.Duvan has already put away his black wizard hat, and no more paper strips will ever be shaken round in it. Neither the excitement will ever again grasp his mind when extraordinarily slowly unwrapping the strips squeezed beyond recognition by the strong arms of Puh. Beginning with this issue, we will instead scrutinize the very works of the people contributing with articles, music and graphics for Oepir Risti. The person we think has increased the standard of Oepir Risti with his work the most, that is by introducing new angles and perspectives, by using a different approach or just for the wondrous quality. This time, the very first award will be conferred - may the winner remain in history books forever for his creative mind. First in the row of honourable award winners is - ta da da daam - ˙02Drakemule / Exceed ˙01. Behind the decision is Oepir's liking the magnificent title picture of this issue and his many great illustrations you Oepir Risti readers have had the chance to enjoy in past issues; the "Combat Chicken" in the editorial of Oepir Risti 3 is classic. (And don't forget to have a look at Drakemule's "Spaceguy" in the article "Are We Alone?" in this issue.) Well, then, what would a Drakemule be grateful to receive? Maybe some of these carefully choosen articles: ˙02*˙01 The art book "˙02Den Sjunde Björnen˙01" ("The Seventh Bear", that is) by ˙02Joakim Pirinen˙01, inspiration source of ˙02DuffE / Sardonyx˙01. ˙02*˙01 8 super crayons purchased for the moderate price of 10SEK at ˙02Clas Ohlson ˙01in the "Femmanhuset". ˙02*˙01 The highly trancey CD single "˙02Into the Blue˙01" by ˙02Moby˙01. (Including the "Summer Night Mix".) ˙02*˙01 A disassembled ˙02Kinder Egg ˙01toy of Electron's - without assemble instructions. ˙01
