PowerPC(tm)-Based Internet Solutions

Motorola  Computer  Group  Announces  PowerPC-based PowerStack Systems to
Ship with Microsoft Internet Information Server

Tempe,  AZ  -  February  12,  1996  -  The Motorola Computer Group (MCG),
headquartered   in   Tempe,   Arizona,   today  announced  that  it  will
beginshipping  the Microsoft® Internet Information Server (IIS) on all of
its PowerStack computer systems configured with Windows® NT Server 3.51.

MCG's   PowerStack   family   includes  desktop,  server  and  multi-user
computers.   Models  of  the  PowerStack  family  support a wide range of
network-computing requirements from small servers to enterprise-level and
fault-tolerant servers.

"PowerStack's   speed   and   reliability,  combined  with  the  Internet
Information  Server  offers  a  tremendous  upside  for  our  customers,"
explained  Karl  Stoltze,  vice  president  of  application  and  systems
solutions  for MCG.  "With the growing reliance on the Web for conducting
business  and  sharing information, we feel this bundle will dramatically
enhance the mission-critical solutions we can provide for our customers."

IIS,  Microsoft Corp.'s Web server, is available immediately at no charge
to  users.   MCG is including IIS, also at no additional charge, with its
PowerStack  computer  systems  shipping with Windows NT Server 3.51.  IIS
allows  customers  to  deploy  Web sites on both the Internet and private
Intranets  - individual corporate networks.  IIS includes open extensions
to  the  Win32® API to provide Web developers with a level of performance
unmatched by conventional computer graphics interface-based applications.
In  the  future,  IIS  functionality  will  be included in Windows NT 4.0
operating system.

MCG's  PowerStack  servers  are  scaleable,  configurable  and upgradable
platforms  that  meet  various  customer requirements.  These desktop and
server  systems  are  designed  to  provide  a  superior  development and
production  platform  for  both  Web  sites  and  Web  applications.  IIS
dovetails   closely   with  this  environment  by  adding  user-friendly,
windows-based functionality to the development package.  In addition, the
RISC-based  PowerPC  microprocessor  is  optimal  for Internet client and
server  systems because it delivers high performance and throughput - the
keys to graphically-intensive Internet applications.
