There  are  so  many  modules  formats  out  there,  MMD0,  Soundtracker,
Protracker,  etc  etc.  It gets annoying loading up a mod and finding out
that  the  mod  you  downloaded  isnt  supported by your player also some
players  take  up  huge  amounts of ram and cpu time, but hippo player is
everything you could ever want in a player.  Features include:

The  Player loads up XPK, PowerPacker, Lha and other packed formats using
XPKmaster library, meaning that your mod can be automatically un-archived
and played back to you!.  Also supported is OctaMed up to 8 channels.

The  actual  program is EXCELLENT!, it opens on any public screen and has
LOVELY  graphic equalizers that pop up!, excellent!, also the gui is nice
looking  and  'clean'  and  can use different fonts for gadgets etc.  The
prefs  screen gives you loads of option to play with so you can configure
hippo  to  your needs.  You can allocate what timer you want to use CIA-B
or CIA-B so you can multitask to the max whilst doing downloads from your
modem!,  Also  you  can select stereo, surround stereo, 14bit stereo TFMX
modes and many more for the perfect sound quality.

The  player  has the usual options forward, back stop, play, loop etc and
favorite mods can saved into a 'program-list' so the player will play all
the mods on that list when you first load up.

Provided  in  the  archive  are  some nice icons for both MagicWb and the
NewIcon system, even a toolmanager dock-brush is provided!.

Testing:   I  decided  to put Hippo to the test, I transfered a 250k file
from  a bbs whilst playing swampthing-remix in hippo, (got 6meg ram!) and
on  average  I  was  getting  1600cps  on my modem!  (USR 14400) not bad!
other players which I wont mention slowed my cps down to 1200 and gave me
errors!

This the Only module player you will need, it even plays IFF samples!  so
download this now or order now from your local PD library!
