Welcome to the PIXEL READER V1.1 DOCS. First a little about the program
itself, which is PUBLIC DOMAIN, which means you can copy it free of charge.

PIXEL READER is simply a programming aid, written in AMOS V1.3 for other
AMOS programmers, and I suppose it may be useful for other language programmers
aswell. Its basic function is very simple, to read the colour and register
of a pixel which the user has clicked on, from a picture s/he has loaded. It
is a fairly small program, certainly one of the smallest on this disk, and
its function reflects that. For more information about the program, press
`HELP' after loading up a pic. Here you will also find information on the
program`s keypress. NOTE: YOU MUST LOAD AN IFF PICTURE IN ORDER TO USE THE
PROGRAM, IF YOU SELECT `QUIT', OR "" THEN `OK' WHEN THE REQUESTER APPEARS, THE
PROGRAM WILL TERMINATE EXECUTION HENCEWITH! The picture may be in lowres,
medres, hires e.t.c. and can be almost any size. If the program can`t load
the picture, the requester will reappear, and you will be asked again to `Load
an IFF picture' again.

    On this disk is:

                PIXELREADERV1_1.AMOS
                PIXELREADERV1_1.ASC
                PIXELREADERV1.2
                PIXELREADERV1_1.DOCS

These are the DOCS,`PIXEL READER V1.1'is the compiled and executable version,
compiled by the AMOS Compiler V1.0. The source AMOS code is included, it is
saved under the name PIXEL READERV1_1.AMOS,which can be loaded straight into
the editor. Feel free to play around with this as much as you like, but make
sure you don`t recompile it and spread it under a different name or author!
If you want a look at the program, and you don`t have the AMOS editor, load
up PIXEL READER V1.1 ASC from the MENU, here you will find its ASCII listing.
The executable version has been crunched with PowerPacker.

I hope you find this program useful, and spread it around as much as
possible!. Special greetinx to all those other AMOS programmers out there,
for an extended greetinx list run the Disk DOCS and INFO demo on disk.
