============================================================================= IN THE SPOTLIGHT ============================================================================= This issue: 'Homebase' and 'The dark hole' Bulletinboards. The UGA support BBS' have the latest on UGA products and UGA news. And ofcourse lots of other activities for the PC and Amiga computers. PC-NewsFlash is not the only UGA product !!!! UGA writers and programmers call support BBS' frequently to get feedback on their products and normally callers help them by sending in bug-reports, remarks and tips. And it is a simple step to contact the NewsFlash main editor 'Ron Fonteine' and his crew. In fact all the support BBS' are run by NewsFlash (guest) writers. Maybe the chance for you to become a guest writer ?!? Make sure your article is written in English and upload it on HomeBase or The Black Hole for a swift delivery. Some NewsFlash writers also use this fast way to communicate and to get their article in NewsFlash. Software ... Small updates on software packages are for download available and not only for UGA software ! Megabytes of new software, modules, text, graphics and far too much to mention. Download a list called 'Allfiles' and you'll have the updated list of available files in your hands. The two main support BBS' have special UGA menu's. Choose from the main menu on HomeBase and The Black Hole and you're presented with it. Messages ... The most perfect way to communicate is via mail. Messages you write at HomeBase turn up at The Black Hole a few hours later. When writing messages please notice the area you're in... we've got hundreds ... LOCAL messages stay on the specific BBS only, eg on HomeBase the special UGA/NewsFlash area only is available for users who log in on HomeBase. ECHOMAIL messages are spread to every connected BBS. With this phenomena you can reach hundreds or maybe thousands of other computerfreaks by writing a single message. Should be strange if not one of them knows the solution to your problems ?!? NETMAIL messages. A private way to conversate with someone else. It's best if you contact the SysOp of the specific BBS because extra information about the destination address is wanted here. The echomail is divided in networks, all of them have special interests. HIN: This is a student network with conversations about almost every brand of computer. From the tiny spectrum to the mainframes. It's the ideal network to get answers to your problems. (Dutch) UNI: Universal is larger and more general, but also very helpful (Dutch) Next to that we've also got two Amiga Networks namely NLA (Dutch) and AMY (worldwide). Maybe this all this information is too much at this moment but simply call HomeBase or The Black Hole and press the 'Y' key in every menu to speak with the SysOp. Enter as reason to chat HELP and we're always ready to help you whenever we're available. HomeBase 03407-5643 The Black Hole 030-940197 And the most convincing must be that all of this is absolutely free of charge! The only costs is the telephone connection. It's a service and a overal nice place to be. We'll see you there then ....
