@4RBJ 65 Maengwyn St Machynlleth Powys SY20 8EE @6RBJ @1= @4GREEN @6A.G @1= @3YELLOW @4 Dear Andy, Sorry for being late. I've been so busy at college that I dont have as much time on my hands but I wont stop writing for AZ. At college Im learning Turbo Pascal 6 which is shit and Im getting a bit confused sometimes when programming in AMOS thanks to me learning Pascal. Im also learning Spanish, my mind is coping with learning 3 languages. @3 (Aaaarrrgghh! I was just about to post Az to Steve when your contributions arrived m8. So Az had to be re-organised - AGAIN! - Try and send stuff in sooner as your stuff nearly didn't make it!) @4My articles were a bit rushed. Please could you actually call my "Readers Help Page" article "Readers Help Page" on the Index thing. Also, on the Welcom Page can you list me on the Contributors part as I will be a regular writer for AZ. @3 (Your wish is my command - Check it out this issue ....) @4 Thanks for the help with CrunchMania, I will register soon. you say you cant crunch EXE files with the version you put on the supplement disk, your wrong. Ive done it a few times. @3 (NO! I said that the demo version won't let you Un-Crunch Exec Files. Sorry if you picked me up wrong m8ypoo :^) @4 I know that Loveable Reggie is Steve Bye, or someone with the initials SB as I looked at the ARTS directory of AZ 8. @3 (WRONG! The reason that the file has SB in the file name is because everytime someone sends me an article, I put their initials at the start of it - true, but Reg is such a plonka that he still sends his articles to Steve. Reg says this saves him postage! What a W**K*R! In turn, Steve sends the articles to myself along with his own stuff. So I simply put SB on all files (articles) on Steve's disk. I'll try and remember not to do it again!) @4I think you should use DMC for Amoszine from now on because it looks so professional. If you do this please change the colour of the control panel, I hate that red colour mate. @3 (I'm not sure if we will continue to use DMC GOLD for every issue, but for now we shall. You are not the only one who hates the red panel :( I think I must be the only person that does :-) Anyway, it has been altered for this issue and Malcolm has also re-worked the panel for next issue. There is also and archive supplied with Az that includes an example panel for everyone to mess about with. If you think you can do better, send in your attempts for future issues.) @4 Expect more articles for next issue with some source code, I didnt have enough time for some source code. @3 (Hmmm. Where have I heard that before? Please do send it in for next issue, but please be earlier m8. Cheers) @4 Im getting "Sauce `n` Code" 1 and 2 soon, its some new diskmag for AMOS users and I saw the review in Amiga User International (shit mag, good disks) and in the screen shot it showed the index page and some guy has written an article on using ASCII text in Amos progs, might help me IF I do a tutorial on diskmags. @3(GREAT! I want copies of it, so please send them to me if you get 'em m8. I'll return your disks etc. as always. I don't agree with what you said about AUI! It's a great mag and I buy each issue. I suppose everyone has their own opinion, but it's a damn good read ! The only thing it lacks is an Amos section.) @4 Try and get more people to write articles for AZ, I want to see some more articles in AZ, try contacting the people who wrote "M*A*S*H" and "PokerMania". @3 (If you know anyone who would like to contribute, why don't you ask 'em? I'm not being cheeky, but I don't have the address for these peeps, so if you know it, why not write to them yourself? I'll do it if you give me the address though! I've been asking all the regular contributors to send in more articles for ages. It's happening slowly, but surely methinx! Why don't you send in more each issue? Eat yer words m8. hehehehehehe :^) @4 Didn't have enough time to contact Lee Bamber. @3 (No doubt Lee didn't have enough time to contact you either! Lee is busy, but as you'll see from this issue of Az, he still found time to contribute for this issue. Cheers Lee, nice to see you are still supporting Amos and Amoszine m8.) @4I might get a hard drive and printer for Xmas, its hell working with a floppy. @3 (Just ask any women, they'll also tell you that it's impossible to work with a floppy! Make that move and make it hard! I think you'll be impressed. There's just so much more can be done when you work with the great big hard ones! @1:) @3and you'll be able to work a lot faster and better too.) @4 Dont expect to see one of my product released in PD, licenceware until next year. I've started so many projects it's unbelivable. @3 (Yeah, tell me about it m8. I never seem to have time these days to work on anything new. Az takes up so much time and DMC is still being updated for PD Libraries cat disks etc. I started a platform game a couple of weeks ago and have left it to die due to lack of time. I dunno how peeps like Mal and Lee find time to keep producing software and then more spare time to contribute to Az!!!) @4 I`ll contact you soon mate as I have a problem with a single screen platform game. @3 (Oh no - STOP! Lee is the code clinic geezer and not me. I'll help in any way I can, but try Lee first please m8.) @4Thats enough writing for now, I have to send these disks away now. See ya, R. Barry Jones PS Im fed up of AZ being bi-monthly, any chance of it being monthly? @3 HA! HA! HA! Every month! Why, it takes longer than just a couple of weeks for everyone to send in their stuff. If Az was a monthly release, my guess is that it wouldn't be worth buying. Of course, I am happy to receive anyone else's views on this matter. If you feel Az should be monthly, let us know. It would mean everyone would need to work really hard on their contributions though! My guess is that Az shall remain Bi-Monthly. Come to think of it, we can't even get Az out on its release date anymore! Gawd! If only everyone would send in their contributions before the end of Nov 95, the X-Mas issue may be on time ! Well, I can dream ....... @1End.
