APEX SYSTEMS GOES PUBLIC by Dave Kirk Yes, at long last! After numerous business management courses and week upon week of creating a viable business plan, A release date for Apex's first production has finally been set. The game in question, World Golf, is due for release from 8th April 1996. If you don't know what World Golf is, it's an overhead golf sim, and also a sequel to International Golf, with a more arcade feel which brings it closer to the style of Sensible Golf. Some readers may have seen the coverdisk demo on Amiga Power March 96. Written in 100% AMOS Pro, World Golf will work on any machine with at least 1Mb, 512k of which must be chip RAM, and Kickstart 1.3 or higher. It will be available directly from Apex Systems at the address below for just £14.99. The game was almost entirely a one-man show, with myself taking the credit (or the blame, which ever way you look at it!) for design, programming, graphics, animation and sound. Phew! I did have a little help from some chap called Andy Gibson. That name sounds familiar, doesn't it everybody? In the pipeline now are a couple of titles, I can't say any more until I decide which one to do first. I'm also embarking on a joint venture with Andy Gibson/AGAS, "Roswell", a graphic adventure based around the UFO crash in 1947. This will be released via F1 Software (assuming Steve wants it by the time it's finished). Anybody who wants to write to myself at Apex Systems can contact me at:- APEX SYSTEMS 8 Gosling Gate Road Goldthorpe Rotherham South Yorkshire S63 9LU Don't forget that I still want to see your programming efforts possibly for a commercial release. Generous royalties will be paid. DK End.
