Some of its a bit risky so moan at the bun and not me... SWING YER PANTS CORNER BY MR BUN!!! Hello peeps welcome to swing yer pants corner, the part of the update where i select what i think are the very best music disks in the library (well for this month at least). All the disks featured get the Mr Bun Semi Award (work that one out for yourselves). Look out for the Bathtime Music Disk award at the end of this column,not to mention my very own little competition!! EXCITED EH!! NOT HALF VICAR, PASS ME THE CREAM. DISK 129 An early disk in the library featuring GRANDMIX, BIG STANDARD, ITS A SIN, MODEL, IRIS, SAVE ME, BLUE MONDAY, FOREVER AUTUMN. All songs produced with sonix and all very good, one in particular has me jumping about all over the room in ecstasy and thats the Grand Mix, I'm not egsagerating when i say this could go right into the charts as it is boot up the disk press F1 as soon as its loaded, press the space bar (to turn the filter off) and listen to a true musical masterpiece, its awesome. DISK 302 CRUSADERS BACK TO BASE One of many disks in our library by the now legendary Dr Awesome a man who likes Prince by all accounts so he cant be that bad. I never get bored of listening of this disk its truly mega, with original pieces of music as well as versions of current musical hits, my favourite being the YELLO inspired Tied Up, a real beauty number that would have most ST owners slitting their wrists in jealousy. The disk also features THIS ISNT MY DAY, DIG THIS, 11.1, SUMMER ERECTION (not half), SELF CONTROL AND BANANAS. By the way i take that back about ST owners slitting their wrists, they wouldnt have the brains hehe. 364 RIP ERUPTION Another disk that sold well at the Commodore show earlier this year, mainly ripped music but nicely presented with good equalizer effects and a good graphical front end, the music on this disk consists of 64 MEMORY, AUTUMN, BROWN ASS,(only if you dont wipe your bum) CHOPFLASH, DANCE, DEAR ROB, ELECTRONIC KNIGHTS THEME, METAL, NEW HORIZONS, IVORY TOWER 2, MEGAFORCE THEME, POWERBALL, ROTEUS, LAST NINJA, VICIOUS CIRCLES, THRUST THEME AND VYPE OUT. My favorites here are Metal and Mega Force Theme. Make sure your amigas wired up to an amp (if your not sure how to do this ring 17-bit and ask for Sharpy or Reg) and play them both extremely loud! loads of fun! 412 TITAN TRAX A disk that sells better than a prostitute outside Kings Cross. If house or acid is your bag then look no further, this is the disk for you. Superbly presented disk with excellent original dance tracks, just the thing to annoy your neighbours with. The music included is DANCEFLOOR ACT, THIS IS HOUSE, ACID HOUSE, JAZZY FUNK, REVOLUTIONS SONG, DISCO DANCE MIX, ACID PANIC MIX, HOUSE STYLE. My favorite 2 are Jazzy Funk and house style, totally sponditious. 409 CRUSADERS AUDIO X Dr Awesome back again with a vengeance, not a lot else can be said mind numbingly good disk with an excellent version of Smoke On The Water, and a very funny equalizer indeed. Other tracks featured are EAGLE, NIGHT FLITE, ON THE RUN, TEN FEET AWAY, DOCTOR DOCTOR AND GET OUTA MY HOUSE, again play loud or not at all. 435 DEADLY JAMMIN 2 Another nicely presented disk with a good front end. Featuring a novel equalizer and slick vector graphics to accompany the music. The songs on this disk are GUITAR THEME, METAL FREAK, OLD AND GOLD, COOL BALLAD, CRUISING, CHORDS AND JAMMIN, DAS BOOT AND VECTORS. Tunes to watch out for are Guitar Theme (brilliant), Cool ballad so soothing you'll think your back in your mothers womb and last but not least Metal Freak, a really noisy piece that would wake the dead. Highly recommended disk. 414 SOUND ATAX VOL 1 This really is one of my favourite disks, features highly original music an option to turn the sound filter on and off, a brilliant spectrum analyzer at the top of the screen with three settings. Channels can also be turned on and off. Music featured CHARTMIX, ALFA, VENGEANCE, OOBY DOOBY, ODYSSIA, RAPPER, SYMPHONY, THE MECHANIC, JACKIT AND SEVENTIES THEME. Ones to watch out for are chartmix (name the records as it plays along) a sucession of chart releases to a funky drum beat. Symphony just leaves me speechless (for once) and mechanic what can i say except `Bloody Great Mrs!' 463 NIGHTLIGHT MUSIC 2 Again a very good music disc with a rather raunchy rough sound to it. Music featured is ROUND 1, GOLDRUNNER, GREENSLEEVES, POPCORNMIX, LAST NINJA MIX, DRAGNET, NO DRUGS AND THE CIRCLES. Checkout the modern version of Greensleeves - very different indeed. 471 ODE TO RAMONE 2 BY DIGITAL FORCE A very different music disk for the fact that most of the instruments used are human noises of some kind some ruder than others. A very funny disk that will have you crying with laughter (especially Digifanti). Be warned though it is a bit rude but then again i like that sort of thing! Don't you? Songs featured are UNIT A, CODENAME CORA, CHICKSONG, OUCH IT, ANTI RUTGER AND OF COURSE DIGI FANTI. 462 ALPHA FLIGHT SOUND BOX 2 This disk just missed out on the golden bath award by a nats cock hair. Beautifully presented and features one of the most original piece of music ive ever heard on an amiga, also included is an option to turn off the sound filter. This is a disk that should be in everybodies PD collection. Soundtracks included are,CLASSIC, AMAZING, SILENT, MIDNIGHT, COUNTRY, TOP 50, MYSTIX, SINSMASH, FLASH AND SPACE. Totally outrageous BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!. 451 SOUND ATAX VOL 2 Very similar to 414 but better presentation on the front end, includes all the functions of 414 and the same excellent music quality. Songs on this disk are CHIPGENE, CRUISING WILD, CYBERNOID RM, MEGAMETAL, MOOG RIFF, SOFT BRASS, PIANO RIFF, RIGHT BACK, BOMBER AND MR GILES RAPP (yes the same Mr Giles off 'its obscene'). Watch out for Piano Riff, Megametal and Mr Giles rap, all very good if you like 414 you`ll love this. 507 TEAM X CRAZY SOUNDS 2 A fairly new disk in the library this one and very good it is too, nice picture of Sam Fox hidden in their logo on the front end. 8 pieces of very good original music,the best of which is Psycho Dance a very good dance orientated track that will have you making a right pillock of your self trying to copy those funkster dancers off Hit Man and Her. Other tracks featured are BEAT ME, BEATS GETTING HARDER (sounds rude to me), FRUITI DI MARE, THIS IS IT, HAR HAR, RANGER AND LUCKY DAY. Good alround music disk. 508 BYTERAPERS MUSIC 4 Yet another new addition to the library, a really good disk very well done front end nice music what else can i say. The best for me is Arcanoidia a good fun track. Excellent quality disk and well worth the dosh madam. And now we come to the moment you`ve all been waiting for, fanfare please, the disk that gets the golden bath award. Briefly that means the disk that I usually put on while i'm in the bath obvious eh! Yes folks it`s disk 473 Enemies music 3, the disk has an option to play all songs so click on this and leave it running. All songs are superb and novelty of novelties it features oscillators instead of boring old equalizers. Order this disk today you wont be disappointed in any way. On the semi rating scale i'd give this 10 out of 10 it`s a real underpant ripper if ever there was one. COMPETITION TIME ---------------- How would you like one of the totally tasteless rudey poo disks that were just a little bit too strong to go into the library. You would!. It doesnt matter whether they charted or not. It shoudn`t be too hard for our Swindon living friends or any body else for that matter youv`e got about 30 singles to choose from! CD OF THE MONTH I must confess to being a bit of an old timer(26). So there is not a lot of new music that impresses me at all, i usually just stick to XTC and PRINCE for my musical delights. But the other day i had the honour and i do mean honour of purchasing one of the best debut albums iv`e ever heard in my life. Namely Liquidiser by a band called Jesus Jones (no religious meaning at all it`s just the lead singers name). Every track is a masterpiece in it`s own right it reminds me of power pop with an acid slant. Take it from me this is one of the most refreshing albums iv`e heard in over 5 years and id like to take the opertunity to wish Jesus Jones all the luck in the world. This is what music is all about, forget Bros, Kylie, Jason Donavan and most of the drivel in the charts (I already had - Martyn) rush out and buy this now you wont regret it. Personally i cant wait for the second album. Must rush off and play it again, it`s a good job cd`s never wear out or this wouldn`t last a month.
