  This file will give you the latest speed checks done with SSBackup, and
  a quick reference on how to use StarSoft Hard Drive Backup Utility.
  
  REMEMBER: Read the instruction manual before using this program to backup
            your hard drive to ensure you have EVERYTHING set up correctly.

  SPEED:  Tested with an A2000 w/A2090 (Hard drive used Priam V-170 60meg).
     (Default utility settings).
     - 20.8meg, 1433files, 22mins (55secs average time per disk).
     - 1.14meg, 6files, 1min 19sec (51secs average time per disk)
       (est. backup time for 20meg 19mins).
     - Depending on the average size of the files, number of files, and
       fragmentation of the files will make a large difference in the
       backup times. Also dependent on your system configuration.

  NOTE:  If Gadget color is GREEN this means the gadget is SELECTED.

  BACKUP: Types - Complete by source device entered
      - Incremental(by archive bit or date)
      - Selective allows use of wild card ?-single char,
        *-group chars.  In this mode you can also build a directory
        tree to allow single/multiple selection of directories/
        files (can use wild card(s) to build)
      - NOTE: you will notice that an extra disk is required for
        each backup.   This is to store an Index used in Selective
        Restorations.

   Options - Transaction file of backup (Saved to Ram:).
      - Compression of file(s) backed up in custom format only.
      - Disk format AmigaDos/Custom (default Custom). 
      - Verify mode allows verification of ALL data backed up.
        This will cause an approximate 60% increase in backup
        time.
      - Auto format of disk(s) used during backup.
      - File protection bits and date stamp preserved on backup.
      - Can be ran from WorkBench or CLI.
      - Will work with KS/WB V1.2 or Later versions.

  MAINTENANCE:   - Allows setting/clearing of archive bits.  This can be done
        with same modes as stated in backup (complete/incremental
        by date/selective).

  RESTORE: 
      - Restore modes same as stated in backup (complete
        incremental by date/selective).
      - Speed of restoration approximately same as in backup.
        Usually faster.
        
  FUTURE RELEASES:
      - A editor will be provided to repair disk that developed an error.  This
        will work on the custom format only.
      - The maintenance mode will include a de-fragmentation selection.  This
        will increase the overall efficiency of your hard drive.
      
  WARNING:
      - To receive notice of the future releases and have the ability to
        receive help with any question about SSBackUp you must send in your
        registration card.  PLEASE DO THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!
