The computer autoboots off of the 10meg partition. To this day I have not had one problems using the drive. Setting the drive up was also quite easy. The Hardframe comes with a setup diskette that does a low level format and also creates all of the partitions for you. There is no need to edit the mountlist at all. This is the only controller that I've tried their may be better controllers, but I'm quite happy with the Hardframe. I almost forgot the best part, the controller like many others can have a 3.5" drive mounted on the controller so the drive doesn't take up a drive bay. The only drawbacks is that with the drive mounted it must be inserted in the right most slot next to the CPU slot so that other cards will fit on the motherboard. Their IMPACT A2000/HC+2/0 is a SCSI controller which comes packaged with a variety of 3.5" hard drives on the card, the ability to add 2M of expansion memory on the card, and an external SCSI connector. What a bargain! And this controller boots off of a 1.3 FFS partition, unlike some controllers. My wife has this one in her A2000. GVP also has an IMPACT A2000-SCSI+8/0 which requires you to mount the drive internally in the 3.5" or 5.25" drive bay, but allows up to 8M of expansion memory. Otherwise it is just like the IMPACT A2000/HC. I have this one in my A2000.
