Assuming the error messages are as you show, the icons are set up to look for the Xicon and MuchMore programs in the c directory in the root of the disk the are sitting on (ie disk:c) not in the c: directory. To fix, just use info on the workbench pull down menu (click once on the icon, then select info from the menu) and change the default tool field in the icon to c:Xicon or c:MuchMore, and save it again. It reads the default tools in the specified directory (and subdirectories unless you tell it otherwise) and writes them to a file. The entries look something like this: :c/MuchMore :c/Less You can change all the icons that have a specific tool type by editing this file. For instance, you might change the above to: :c/MuchMore = c:MuchMore :c/Less = c:Less Then when you run FixIcons again, it will make the appropriate changes. Here's the prices (approx.): 256K x 4 ZIPs (100 ns) $10.50 each ($85 a meg) $340 for full 4 megs. 1meg x 4 ZIPs (??? ns) $68 each ($550 for 4 megs, which is smallest increment) It would cost about $2200 for a full 16 meg of RAM!!!!!!!!! Yeah, but $550/4 is $137.50 a meg. A bit pricy, but still in the ballpark. I wouldn't get too worked up. To me this is *good* news. I mean it wasn't too long ago that memory prices were up to $300-$400 p/meg or more (and w/slower DRAMs than 100ns). I don't know about you, but less than $100 a meg is enough to keep me happy.... And being able to have 4 or 16 megs (+2 chip) on the motherboard is pretty nice... I can still remember when my Starboard II was $325 for 2 megs of unpopulated space and I bought 64 256k*1 (150ns) DRAMs for about $3 a piece which works out to about $96 p/megs RAM plus about $162 p/meg for the board to put them on. The decision to drop C64/C128 coverage was not an easy one. INFO has ben reviewing Commodore 8-bit products since its inception seven years ago.
