   Thank you for purchasing Professional Page V1.1.  May we remind you to
return the registration card.  This will enable you to take advantage of
Gold Disk's Technical Support services.

   Release 1.1 of Professional Page incorporates several new features which
are explained in the enclosed Supplement to the manual.  In addition the
following features were added after printing the Supplement:

1) Some of the default parameters of the program can now be set on boot-up
by setting the TOOLTYPES of the Ppage WorkBench icon.	To change these
settings single click on the PPage icon and select 'Info' from the
'Workbench' menu.  You may add items to the TOOLTYPES by clicking on the
'ADD' button and typing one of the commands listed below into the TOOLTYPES
string gadget.	The supported options are:

   a) Screen Type:

      SCREEN=WORKBENCH	-  Opens Professional Page on the Workbench Screen.
			   Since the Workbench Screen allows only 4 colors
			   Professional Page will operate in it's Black
			   and White mode.
      SCREEN=CUSTOM	-  Opens Professional Page in it's own Screen.  On
			   it's own screen Professional Page can be run in
			   Black and White or Color mode by entering one of
			   the following options:

	 COLORMODE=COLOR
	 COLORMODE=BW

			   In addition you may chose to operate
			   Professional Page in either interlaced (400
			   vertical lines of resolution) or non-interlaced
			   (200 lines) mode by entering one of the
			   following options:

	 INTERLACE=ON
	 INTERLACE=OFF

   b) Measurement Units:

      You may change the internal measurement units used by Professional
      Page by entering one of the following options:

      UNITS=INCH
      UNITS=CM
      UNITS=PICA

   c) Default Page Format:

      The Default Page format may be set by choosing one of the following
      options:

      DEFAULTPAGE=STANDARD
      DEFAULTPAGE=LEGAL
      DEFAULTPAGE=A3
      DEFAULTPAGE=A4
      DEFAULTPAGE=A5
      DEFAULTPAGE=B5

   d) Hyphenation Language:

      You may change the algorithm used to perform hyphenation on
      Professional Page text to correspond to one of the following
      languages:

      LANGUAGE=ENGLISH
      LANGUAGE=FRENCH
      LANGUAGE=SPANISH

   When you run Professional Page from the Workbench by clicking on its
   icon it will now start with the default options you have chosen in the
   TOOLTYPES.  If you omit any of these TOOLTYPES the default settings are:

      SCREEN=CUSTOM
      INTERLACE=ON
      COLORMODE=COLOR
      UNITS=INCH
      DEFAULTPAGE=STANDARD
      LANGUAGE=ENGLISH

   Be sure to to click on the 'SAVE' button to save these settings once you
   are satisfied with them.

2) If you prefer to start Professional Page from the CLI you may run it on
   the Workbench Screen by typing:

   run PPage:PPage -w [docname]

   When Professional Page is run on the Workbench screen it will open a
   Window to the full size of the Workbench screen.  If you
   have set the Workbench to operate in the INTERLACE mode (through
   Preferences), Professional Page will also operate in interlace mode.
   Professional Page will therefore automatically support any future
   enhancements to the Amiga video hardware and software such as full page
   monitors.  The Professional Page Workbench window is fully sizeable,
   however if you make it too small some of the gadgets along the right
   hand side may not be visible.  The program is still fully functional and
   you may regain use of the invisible gadgets by making the window taller.
