DISC NUMBER 175 TITLE LARN - A role playing game... This is an excellent little game very similar to HACK and MORIA (descriptions earlier!) and is a role playing game that follows your characters quest through a series of dungeons. These games have simplistic little graphics but are usually VERY playable - as is the case here. It is all driven by menus and the cursor keys and supplied is full documentation and a program to change the graphics to your own taste. RECCOMENDED for roleplaying fans and anyone who enjoyed HACK (disk 24) NOTE: Unlike Moria - it works fine in ½ Meg. More superlative discs next issue (whoops nearly said month then!) Click for some ramblings.... This update has taken a considerable number of hours to produce, and I hope that you enjoy it. I have spent a large amount of time and effort on the disks themselves and hope that this effort will be reflected when you use the disks - hopefully they are of the best quality we have released so far - we have taken a lot of time making sure everything works as it should ... obviously you will let me know if we have done things 100% ok. Also a big thanks to all members have contributed to the PD library the response has been phenominal - keep it coming! PD wouldnt be PD without all the programmers kind enough to make their efforts distributable and I salute all those who have made PD what it is today.... This update was started late August and was finished in about 10mins time at 5:55pm Thurs 29th Sept. So much for the 'SEPTEMBER' issue. I keep saying this but all being well we hope to have the next issue out in about a months time. Do not disregard the early disks there is some great stuff there, and remember they are all easy to use! Please keep writing with hints/tips etc anything really, 17 bit wouldnt be anything without your kind support & contributions!! (More sincerity to follow...) Do remember we stock the fish disks (NOT reccomended if you are just starting) and a catalogue is available for just a £1 (we unlike others do not believe in charging for a disk-catalogue and ours actually boots!). 17 Bit has grown enormously and this is with your support, if you are reading this and are not a member then dont take my word for it, but the satisfaction of thousands of others and get yourself enrolled NOW!!
