Cannot describe these but they are all VERY good (as are all the NOW discs) and there is a terrific demand for them - bad news if you DON'T like them because there's MORE to come! DISC NUMBER 158 TITLE DELUXE MUSIC DISK #2 By popular demand... People have asked for deluxe music stuff and here we oblige - contains all sorts of stuff including some beatles stuff and a VERY long 1meg only version of Chia, Czchk, czchai, err continental geezer's 1812 overture! which includes cannon-fire. I must admit to preferring Sonix to Deluxe music I think basically because there's much more data available for Sonix, unless anyone out there knows different.... <*> (Had to bring the good ol' symbol back !) DISC NUMBER 159 TITLE VARIOUS GAMES This disc contains five games which although dont stretch the Amiga to the limit are quite playable especially Gravity Wars which is very good fun for two players! IFF2PICS - very good puzzle (jigsaw program) that comes with some demo puzzles and gives instructions on creating your own using 16 colour IFF pictures. BACKGAMMON - classic strategy game but I dont know how to play BACKGAMMON ! EGYPTIAN RUN - dodgem game for the Kiddies! ASTERIODS - (Intentional spelling) A game that bears more than a slight resemblence to the arcade game 'Asteroids' (Nevvvvurrr) and plays quite well! You can also change graphics. GRAVITY WARS - Extremely playable 2 player game - shoot your opponent with your bendy bullets before he shoots you!! <*> More... (or even LOADS more...) DISC NUMBER 160 TITLE SONIX JUKEBOX 8 (Datadisc 14) First of the new sonix datadiscs which also work fine for people who dont have sonix (using a play-routine). The scores are presented on a menu page with easy function key access and sonix users can use them as a standard data-disc. This one contains 10 scores by Level One and Alister Brimble (17 Bit Am1535) which are very particularly Alisters excellent rendition of Jean-Michel-Jarre's RENDEZVOUS. Also included is ARCADE CLASSIX (adaption from Rob Hubbards Comm 64 original) and a couple of Alisters own creations. The level one scores are good with some excellent instruments for sonix users, one called DMC-Mix is very interesting. (*)More DISC NUMBER 161 TITLE SONIX JUKEBOX 9 (Datadisc 15) Here are some fine music scores created by Alister Brimble (Am 1535) who promises more! Alister is available for music work - if on hearing these fine examples you are interested in offering him work, then get in touch with me and Ill put you in touch (sorry Alister - we have a policy of not printing addresses, all sorts can and do happen....) Anyway on this disc are... INTRO, DANCE OF THE DEMON (Alister!), DREAM, LAST NINJA (conversion of 64 original by R.Hubbard), SABOTEUR 2 (conversion of Speccy (ooh no!) original by G.Whittaker), MAGNETIC FIELDS (J-M-Jarre classic) and STOP! Included are a few excellent FAIRLIGHT samples which give the impression of multi-voice simulation (chords) and are excellent. Comments please! <*>Next... DISK NUMBER 162 TITLE DUTCH CBM USER GROUP DEMO This demo sent in by Evert Muelie of Holland (17 Bit member) is a very nice digitised sound demo. Again, not much I can say apart from "Thanks Evert!" - I thought I had mentioned Holland in the '17 Bit Worldwide' article but... "HOLLAND" There you go! Actually this months music is by a Dutch music programmer who likes to be known as the D.J. and its excellent, almost as good as their soccer team... <*> Next please... (Hope I spelt your name right!) DISC NUMBER 163 TITLE SONIX JUKEBOX 10/Datadisc 16 Yes another sonix disc, this time it consists of scores submitted by many 17 bit members including Evert Muelie, John Roberts and Jason Daff (thanks lads!) actually quite a few lack that 'special' touch that makes a score stand out from the rest but how about changing them yourself ? There are just under 60 (yes SIXTY) scores on here so thats plenty for sonix users to have a go at, and the best 10 are on a jukebox including ... Every Breath You Take (By John Roberts - THANKS JOHN!) My Way (Thanks Evert, Ive messed with this one!) A Whiter Shade of Pale (Thanks Evert) Some J-M-Jarre stuff by Jason Daff (Thanks Jason!) Blue Moon (funky piano mix!) and many others.... Good value for sonix users. <*>More DISC NUMBER 164 TITLE INTROS DISK 7 More European demos created by the 'hacking crews' that are so popular, we keep getting sent loads by various people but unlike certain other companies we do not just put every disc out, only the best and most suitable...
