Captain Blood Help Pics. I've only had this thing for about 2 hours so this will be brief! These three pictures are just to get you started! There are two control panel features I haven't been able to figure out yet! If someone with the manual would type up a background page it would help some. Finding inhabited planets is tough using trial and error (32,768 possibilities). From what I can gather thus far is: In this vast galaxy are 5 evil clones who are draining the life force from Captain Blood (slowly turning him into an android with the spaceship's auto-bionic functions). You are on a time limited search for the 5 clones before the computer turns you into a machine (you are already 50% gone). You will meet 12 alien races and you must communicate with them using a special cryptic icon language (its pretty sharp!) to try to get clues to the clones whereabouts. To quick start: (See pics 0 & 1) Select the galaxy map and drag the X/Y coordinate lines to the de- sired coordinate. Then click on the hyperspace gadget. After a few seconds of some pretty good color cycling you will find yourself circling a planet. Choose the closeup gadget to find out if its inhabited (see next paragraph). If it is (or if you want to get the feel of terrain flying) click on the 'launch pod' gadget. (See pic 2) An inhabited planet will have /\ symbols (in red/white) on it when you use the closeup function. \/ This is the only time the "too high" flight lines will come on the screen ( ---> <--- ). Do not allow these lines to touch or you will loose your pod (if you hit any terrain the same will occur). Follow the arrows that appear on your pointer (hen you are in the canyons, just follow the canyon) If you are sucess- ful in flying thorough the canyons the pod will stop and land itself. This will lead you to the communication phase. If the planet isn't inhabited just click on the destroy planet gadget and vaporize it. (sorry no pic yet) The communication phase is pretty straightforward (I didnt have my screen saver active when I found an inhabited planet, sorry) Just decypher the aliens communication by matching icons with words you already know to make sentences. Most aliens will give you coordinates of other planets and instruction on what to do when you get there. Its 3am and I'm tired. More will follow when: 1. Someone gives me some feedback! 2. I get the original docs. 3. When I get the time to figure out more. The Lancerian. You can reach me on: The Harbor (504-673-8092) 9600 24 hrs.
