What is DeepCrypt?

DeepCrypt is a tool to encrypt/decrypt your files and data.
Every file encrypted with DC is safe and I mean safe. If you
forget your keynumber your files can be lost for ever!

The DeepCrypt archive may only distributed in its unchanged, original form.
     DeepCrypt is free-/giftware. Spread it!

The contents of the DC archive are:

          DeepCrypt...............the executable
          DeepCrypt.info..........the icon (ugly but mine)
          DeepCrypt.doc...........german docs
DeepCrypteng.doc........this document (a little bit smaller:-)
          Neu.font................the font :-)
          neu (dir)...............the font directory
          Changes.................listed changes from V1.1 - *

System requirements:

     OS2.0 (V37.xxx) / OS3.0
     AMIGA :-)
     Enough mem....

DeepCrypt gadgets:

DeepCrypt has a small number of gadgets. Namely there are:

     "Load" Load a file

"Save" Save an encrypted or unencrypted file

     "Crypt" Enrypt a file

     "Decrypt" Decrypt a file

"BClear" Clear the actual filebuffer. The buffer will be cleared
whether the files has been processed or not.

"Keynumber" You should enter your crypt/encrypt keynumber here.
The keynumber may be eight digits long.

     "Shrink" Shrink DCs window.

     "Icon|
Menu " Toggle if Dc appears as a DockIcon or as a ToolsMenu.

     "SpeedUp
Buffer " You can select several types of buffer-handling.
Select "Adaptive" for automatic buffer adaption.
On low-memory-AMIGAs you can also select "20KB" or
"50KB", but it is not recommendet to user of an
                    1-or-above-Meg AMIGA.

Every gadget can be accessed pressing the corresponding key ( the one
     underlined in the gadget-text).

It is now possible to load a file by drag`n`droping its icon over DCs
     window.

If you shrink DCs window with the selected "Icon" function you can
do the same with the DockIcon (I mean Drag`n`Drop). If you doubleklick
the DockIcon DC will appear in unchanged form, except for the SpeedUp-
buffer-gadget, it will show "Adaptive" (the default).

If you shrink DC with the "Menu" option, a Menuitem named "DeepCrypt"
(wow!:-) will appear in the WB-"Tools" menustrip. Select "DeepCrypt"
     to expand the window again.

The display:

"Avail.Mem is." Shows the available memory.

"Filesize is" Shows the size of the loadet file.

"To do" A progress indicator. It starts at the actual
                         filesize and counts to zero.

How does DeepCrypt work?

DeepCrypt uses a Algorithm used by military forces within the NATO.
Many Voice/Document cryptors work with it (the german elcovox for
     example).

DeepCrypt is able to crypt files several times with several keynumbers.
To decrypt a file you must decrypt it in exactly the same order as
     you crypted it.

How to use it:

You load a file into the buffer then you can enter a keynumber
(it should be an easy-to-remember value).
At the moment you select "crypt", the file will be processed.
After crypting the file you can save it or recrypt it (even with the
     same keynumber).

NOTE: If you crypt a file five times with "123456" you must encrypt it
           five times with "123456" too!

To decrypt a file you must do the same with the "decrypt" function.
If you have crypted a file and you don`t want to save it with the
actual entered keynumber, you can select "BClear" to clear the buffer
or you start "decrypt" and enter a new keynumber AFTER "decrypt".

Endnote:

Pffffff......ok if anyone is able to debug :-) my english docs he should
do that. :-)) (Like Daniel did)

In later versions DeepCrypt should be able to process whole devices like
     a disk or a HD-patition for example....but till then........
