Its like PhotoFolio but much faster. Some Functions are not inbuild but i dont know for what they are anyway. PhotoFolio was a great Programm, the best what i could find, but it crashes with some special Files in the Dirs, with too many pictures open very slow sorting, has problems with WarpOS - display errors sometimes crashes and a not optimal represantation. Because of that i wrote PhotoOverview. Features: -More then twice fast loading compared to PF -Fast sorting (None, Name, Size and Date is possible) -Realtime sorting -Soft Scrolling, in the Thumb and the Pictures -Copy/Move/Delete/Rename Files -Show Filename/Filedate/Filesize/Filecomment/Proportions under Information -3 Free selectable Textlines under the Thumbnails with the named propertys -Display of Pictures, Auto Scaling to Screensize, full size, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 -Mousewheel support -Saving of Thumbnails in one File to load the directory very fast next Time. -Can show up to 97 Pictures at once. -Can open pictures with more than 32 chars Filename lenght -Rotating of pictures and other Effects. -Saving of pictures in jpeg format -Exif and Jpeg Comment support -Browse through Images -Slideshow function -Motion JPEG support, loads a Picture of a Video, usual the 9th Frame -Other @{"Videos" link Videos are loaded via ffmpeg, the first frame Some Benchmarks: Test System: A4000 CSPPC 68060RC60@60MHZ 604e@233 MHZ,CVision,OS3.9 Because PhotoFolio requires very long for sorting the Thumbnails the follow would be more slower, but i compared only the loading of the Pictures. Just one example for the 1st Benchmark PF would require 13:44 vs. 04:55. PictureOverview require less than a second to sort 2260 pictures. The newest is very slow, you wont even use it on the fastest PC with Winuae. Too the commands are different. -Why no MKV/WMV? At least this Version of ffmpeg dont give right images of it, dont give a image of it or freeze. Cause of them MKV/WMV are not forward to ffmpeg. -What do the Patchffmpeg programm? ffmpeg write alot of textoutput, even if its set to NIL: this is annoying. Patchffmpeg just removes this output. -Is it possible to use other ffmpeg Versions? As long the commands are same, its possible. @ENDNODE @NODE Requirements "Picture Overview: Requirements" Operating System: >=OS3.1, OS3.5 or higher strongly recommend *1 Processor: >=68020 Ram: min. 4 MB Free additional requirement depends on the Pictures you load. Graphics: Workbench Resolution of min. 640x512 with 15Bit, Cybergraphics jpeg.library *1 under OS3.1 the loading of non jpeg files over the datatypes takes much longer There is no AGA support, cause nobody serious works with much Pictures but without a Graphicboard. X Button: Removes the selected Directory from the Pfad list. Thumbnail Button: Makes a Overview of the selected Directory, you can doubleclick on a Item too. 4. Button: Load a Directory List 5. Button: Settings Context Menu over a selected Entry: Rename - Renames the selected Directory Delete Directory - Real delete!, not only the Entry of the List @ENDNODE @NODE Settings "Picture Overview: Settings" Settings: Thumbnail max x - maximum horizontal size(pixel) of the Thumbs Thumbnail max y - maximum vertical size(pixel) of the Thumbs Representation - Normal - display as many Thumbs as possible in a Line. Same size - display each Thumb at least with max x width. That means with "Normal" more vertical format images match in a Line than with "Same size". But Same size looks more table like. Scale Quality - The scaling quality for the Datatypes. Normal and High is possible. Sort By - Sort before the creation of the Thumbs. None, Filename, Date and Size are possible. If this setting was another while creating a Thumbnail file the viewing can be delayed. In this case you should create a new Thumbnail file. Description 1: Textline 1 under the Thumbnails. Filename, Date, Size, Dimensions and Comment are possible Description 2: Textline 2 under the Thumbnails. None, Filename, Date, Size, Dimensions and Comment are possible Description 3: Textline 3 under the Thumbnails. None, Filename, Date, Size, Dimensions and Comment are possible Update after: After how many loaded Thumbs the Window is Updated. Updating is Fast no need for high numbers like with PhotoFolio. default is 4 Scroll Steps: The input.device give only a limited number of events in a period to the program. The scrolling with the Cusorkeys or with the Mousewheel would be slow. With this you can avoid that, it set the number of actions per event. Default is 12. Scroll Delay: Thats for Amiga Models thats not yet exists or very overclocked ones on that the scrolling is too fast. Textfont: The common Textfont that the program use. Table Textfont: The Font that the Information-window use, that have the same size for each Letter to build a Table. Initial Directory: Initial Dir after the program startup. Jpeg Quality - Jpeg compression that is used to save the Thumbs File. Default: 86 User Command - To work on the Image with another Programm. Uses Arexx. For Art Effect: 'ArtEffect' ; 'loadpic' For Photogenics 'PHOTOGENICS.1' ; 'LOAD Public Screen - For using on another Publicscreen than Workbench Use Video - Switch Video recognition, MJPEG support and other Videos via ffmpeg ON/OFF Slideshow Image Duration - How long a image is displayed while slideshow. In seconds. If you change the Settings while other program windows are open it has no effect. You can save but you have to restart the programm to use the new settings. @ENDNODE @NODE TrumbWin "Picture Overview: Thumbnail Window" Thumbnail Window: Function: Pictures are loaded via the jpeg.library and scaled, if the jpeg.library cant load the picture its tryed over the Datatypes. If a File named "Trumbs.po" exist in a Dir, the Thumbs are loaded from that. Thats faster. If there are new images in the Dir against the Thumb File they are loaded additional If pictures are deleted, they are not displayed. From time to time you should make a new Thumb file if the directory is changed frequently. This is not done automatic. Deleted images stay in the Thumbfile, too if they are not Displayed. If you change the Thumbnail size in the settings the Thumbfile is invalid. Smaller would be loaded but are the Thumb in the File bigger it loads all the Files again. In this case Save the Thumbfile again. You can Scroll with the Window gadget, with the cursorkey or with the Mousewheel. While Loading: Stop Button - Stops the Loading Pause Button- Interrupt the loading/continue the loading After Loading: 1. Button - Sort the Images by Name 2. Button - Sort the Images by Date 3. Button - Sort the Images by Size 4. Button - Sort the Images by Color (To find double Pictures with another Resultion, Compression...) Doubleclick on a Thumbnail shows the Picture. Singleclick selects the Picture. Kontext Menu: Over a Thumbnail: Information - Shows Information about the picture, if exist too JPEG Comment and Exif Rename - Renames the picture Copy - Copy the picture into another dir Move - Move the picture from this dir into another dir Delete - Delete the picture Beside Thumbnails: Select All - Select all Pictures Select None - Unselect all Pictures Copy selected - Copy all selected Pictures to another Dir Move selected - Move all selected Pictures to another Dir Delete selected - Delete all selected Pictures Rename selected - Rename with Patterns Name001.jpg, NameTT.MM.JJJJ.jpg, NameTTMMJJJJ-HHMM.jpg Dates are taken from the Exif Header, if not exist from the Filedate. If a File exists -1 to -99 is added to the Name Save Thumbs - Save all loaded Thumbs in the File "Trumbs.po" *1 Delete Thumbs File - Delete the Thumbnail File, if exists Over the Window title bar: Save Windowsize - Save the actual Windowsize. A cfg file has to be exist for that. *1 No Image/Video identifier is saved in this File. If you use it the Video recognition is just done on the Filename(.avi .flv .mpg .mpeg .mp2 .mp4 .mov) if its different the Videothumb cant be displayed in Big. @ENDNODE @NODE PicView "Picture Overview: Picture Viewing" Picture viewing: The Picture is scaled to a size that fit on the Screen, pictures smaller as the screen keeps untouched. Kontext menu: Match to Screen - The Default Full - Shows the Picture in full size. If the picture is bigger than the Screen you can Scroll it with the Window Gadgets, Cursorkeys or the Mousewheel. 1/2 - Shows the Picture in halved size 1/4 - Shows the Picture in 1/4 size 1/8 - Shows the Picture in 1/8 size Rotate +90° - Rotate the Picture 90° to the right Rotate -90° - Rotate the Picture 90° to the left Crop - Crops a selected area out of the Picture. You can select if you want use this function on the actual picture(for example 1/2) or on the full picture. Gamma - Gamma correction -9 to +9 mean too -0.9/+0.9 or -90% to +90% Negativ - Inverts the Picture Flip Horizontal - Mirror the Picture Horizontal Flip Vertical - Mirror the Picture Vertikal Save Jpeg - Save the Picture like it is, if you scaled it or rotated it its saved with this. [Extern] - If you Entered a User Command in the Settings this will be executed and the Picture for example forwarded to Photogenics. Keyboard: -4 and 6 on Numeric Keypad, Browse through Pictures, 4 is Back and 6 is Forward. While you Browse the biggest image size is keeped to avoid Close/Open Window. -s Start/Stop(Pause) Slideshow, it goes through your List Picture by Picture. The Time how long a Picture is Displayed can be set in the Prefs. If one Picture is bigger as the last, FullScreen is used. (Thats not from my Programm) The jpeg.libary(WOS Version) dont like it if its accessed from 2 Tasks at the same time, it does display errors then or crash the whole computer. Its known from PhotoFolio already. Similar happends with WarpDTs. My Programm works around that, the Tasks works syncron. Its not much slower cause of them just x seconds with 2260 pictures against loading them 2 times allone. That means of course too its not allowed to use other programms, while loading, that decodes pictures too over the jpeg.library or the WarpDTs at the same time. @ENDNODE
