The Amiga operating system is well designed, but for some reason it has
always lacked a decent textviewer. Commodore developed the More tool for reading
plain text, and Amiga Guide and MultiView offered more enhanced features,
including datatype recognition and such like. I wanted a textviewer which would
look good and blend in with all my other Workbench patches. I started developing
EvenMore in 1996 as a hobby. It started off fairly basic as textviewers go, but
now EvenMore offers functions such as proportional font support, multi-coloured
text, file conversion plugins, and more. EvenMore is entirely programmed in
AmigaE/ECX, which is an excellent programming language developed by Wouter van
Oortmerssen and Leif Salomonsson.

 Here are its main features

 o Plugin system for viewing many different file types, such as AmigaGuide,
   HTML, WordWorth, MSWord, RTF, directories, etc.
 o Supports ANSI escape code sequences for text formatting, including full
   colour text for certain file types
 o Links are clickable in HTML, AmigaGuide, directories and other file types
 o Drag and drop files on the window to open them
 o ARexx port for remote control
 o Search function
 o Configurable menus for frequently used documents
 o Clipboard support
 o Locale support

 Here are the recent changes
 ---------------------------

 o Fixed bug. Dir2Text plugin caused problems if a directory was empty.
 o HTML2Text plugin will convert &# character commands again.
 o HTML2Text plugin will trim extra spaces and linefeeds in the file again.
 o Fixed bug in HTML2Text plugin. Didn't realize that HTML commands inside the
   preformatted command should be operational.
 o Fixed bug. Beveled text and a few other styles weren't working properly when
   displaying right to left text.
 o Optimised icon loading and scrolling a little.
 o Added a new Escape code. ESC[64m will right align text which follows it.
 o Updated Dir2Text plugin so that file sizes will be displayed and right
   aligned using the new escape code.
 o Added a new Escape code. ESC[66m will centre text which follows it.
 o Added a new Escape code. ESC[65m will undo right and centre text.
 o Updated HTML plugin to recognize right and centre alignment in <p> and <h1-6>
   and <center>.
 o Fixed bug. Was unnecessarily setting the font soft style of the rastport
   while parsing lines.
 o Sped up line display a bit. Added an extra IF block, thus removing the need
   for checking all font styles every time a line is displayed.
 o WordWorth plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o FinalWriter plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o ProWrite plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o RTF plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o PageStream plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o StarWriter5 plugin will now handle strikethrough text.
 o Fixed bug in Wordwrap plugin and clipboard, which meant that an extra
   character was being copied to the clipboard at the end of each line.
 o WordPerfect plugin will now recognize right and centre aligned text.
 o It took a long time but finally cracked the AmigaWriter fileformat. Colours,
   text align and most styles are supported.

There are still a few things to be ironed out though. Please read the docs.

I cannot expect to be able to develop this program much further, as I am a
Christian and believe Jesus Christ will return very soon. If I do not reply to
any mail for months and months, then the development of this program has ceased.
