3]CURRENT NEEDS
     -- Shorter programs, with simpler constructions than the megabyte,
library-chewing, multi-file invoking monsters we are currently considering.
(No offense to ornate programmers; if it's good, we'll wrestle with it.)
     -- Accounts of how you're using your Amiga, from a viewpoint that tells
others how they can do the same thing.
    
1]     JUMPDISK wants you to send your programs and articles. We pay.
     We seek submissions of useful, interesting, funny, informative programs
and articles.
     We offer fair pay for one-time rights to publish.
     We can use programs in any language that works on the Amiga.
     We publish an eclectic mix of programs and articles. A simple program
aimed at children is just as welcome as a scholarly look at arcane library
calls.
     We could use more serious programs, whether in Amiga Basic, 'C" or
assembly code. Utilities and business applications are areas in which we
consider ourselves continuingly in need.
     We can use reviews of new Amiga products -- software and hardware,
though we pay less for these than for articles and programs.
     Please use 80 columns to format your text and write your programs.
     Include full instructions on how your program runs. If these are not
within the program itself, they must be in the form of documentation that
is on a disk as an ASCII file.
     We prefer that Basic programs work in both Amiga Basic 1.1 and 1.2.
Let us know if your program makes any special library call, loads
material from files, or requires Workbench 1.2.
     Articles are required on an ASCII disk file in TEXT 80. We prefer text
formatted in TEXT 80 via the CLI ED. Working with most other word processor
formats means we have to reformat the text, a tedious task. If you do use a
word processor, we can handle it.
     Print out hard copy of both program listings and articles -- unless you
have no printer.
     Label disks carefully and completely. We can't access your work unless
you tell us program and file names and how to find them.
     Include a brief letter describing the nature of your submission. If you
prefer, send us a query letter first.
     Always enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope that is roomy enough
to contain your entire submission. The postage should be affixed. It should
be in the form of stamps, not postage meter labels. There should be
sufficient postage affixed to ensure return of your material. If you live
beyond the U.S., include international reply coupons for return of material.

     It can take us one or two months to give you the decision. Why so long?
When we put together an issue, we consider everything we have, then make
selections for that month. Everything else waits until the next month.

3]CURRENT NON-NEEDS
     -- Jokes that have already appeared in Reader's Digest.
     -- Articles to the effect that "my wife/husband/significant other
thought I was crazy when I bought a computer." With rare exceptions, this is
always the case.
