------------------------ JUMPDISK'S 1986 CONTENTS ------------------------ EDITOR'S NOTE -- Many of you have asked for a listing of JUMPDISK contents by month. This is it. It isn't an index, but you can approach it as one if you're willing to load this article as a CLI ED file. A few simple commands will let you find topics by doing character searches. Go to the CLI. Type: ED INDEXTEX and press Return. This article will appear. As example, let's say you're searching for a program you recall starting with the word Absurd. Press the ESC key, which produces an asterisk at the bottom of the screen. There you would type: F/Absurd and press Return. The F stands for FIND. The program will search and display the first occurrence of the characters Absurd in the document. To continue the search for the same character string, press CTRL and G keys together. You may repeat this command, which itself repeats the last command given in the asterisk mode, until the message SEARCH FAILED appears at the bottom of the screen. To return to the top of the file, press the ESC key and when the asterisk appears, type t (for top) and press Return.
