Filename: ReadMe Reference: MAA/1.00 File Date: 6-10-92 Mastering Amiga Assembler ------------------------- System Requirements: Commodore Amiga with at least 512K of RAM, a single disk drive and Kickstart 1.2 or later. To edit/assemble the examples the user should have a suitable text editor, assembler and linker available. These items are available from both commercial and public domain sources. Some examples require use of the Amiga system include files - these are normally provided as part of commercial assembler environments but users of public domain assemblers will need to either create their own include files (e.g. from details provided in the Addison Wesley RKM manuals) or purchase the files from Commodore. It is possible however that some high-level language users will already have suitable include files, Lattice/SAS C for instance provides these as part of the compiler package, but if not two options are available: Firstly, the details of the appropriate parts of the include files can be typed in from the RKM Includes & Autodocs manual. Secondly, the files can be obtained by sending a written order for the "Amiga 2.0 Native Developer Update" disk set (accompanied by a cheque for #25) to... Commodore Business Machines UK Ltd. Paul Overaa, 29 Derbydale, Ashingdon, Rochford, Essex SS4 3BY Please provide as much information as possible about your hardware configuration, the assembler you are using, the problem you've encountered, the weather and anything else which you feel might be relevant. Where possible send me these details, and your code, on disk. I'll be collating your letters and any points which I think might be generally useful will find their way into later versions of this disk. One last point - if you want a reply... don't forget to include an SAE with adequate postage! (Please do NOT write to, or telephone, Bruce Smith Books with technical queries - they will only pass on your letters and calls to me any way).
