Today i have the opportunity to talk with E$G of IBB, one of the pioneers of the Amiga scene... Let's start talking with this cool friend!

a> What do you think about the amiga scene today? I mean not only the pirates scene.
-What about the scene (if it's possible to say scene) today. The pirates scene it's  abunch of shit. Too many lamers and too few good friends. The most of people do it only for money. The modem and BBSes are braking every rule. Every production or new crack or trainer become old as fast as they come out. But luckily there are still some friends to keep the good reputation alive!!
About legal scene the amiga quality is raising up but there are still shit worx why waste time and money. Also hardware is developing but things like ACTION REPLAY kill the ability and make the programmers lazy, why waste time to rip a picture when with the touch of a button i can get it?

b> Since you are one of the pioneers of the amiga world can you tell us how the scene evolved, what changed and if you know, why?
What do you think that now is on the scene and that wasn't in the beginning? What's now better and what's not.
Several years ago lots of people sell their c64 and buyed an A-1000. It was a new world to explore the first dudes that learn to do something like cracks/demos atc. were really loved, they were great. In my opinion the discover of using  the bootblock is more appreciated than a filled vector graphix in real time (the fashion of the moment). Everybody swap by mail so the friendship started. The first conferences were runned and many pals were known. There were less people than now on Amiga but after the production of the Amiga 500 the numbers of amiga owners raised incredibly, and raised also the productions and the progs. Modem and BBSes appeared and that was the beginning of the decline, everybody  must be faster than the other and previews and not-working progs are the demonstration of this. The groups that can't get originals to survive try to make own made productions, trainers, etc. But since everybody want to survive an incredible quantity of disks was spread out. At the beginning i had about 250 and  every week i received 'bout 40-50 different disks, today i get about 150.
So i think that the scene today is not for all 'cause to be fast and survive with all the others is abig competition and if you don't have square-bollocks you'll disappear soon.

c> Some time ago were many LEGENDS (BS1, TKT, SCA, BST,HQC..). WHo you think can be claimed a "legend" today? (The only name i can think is RED SECTOR. Paranoid/ED)
I think that today there isn't a LEGEND. You talk 'bout BS1,TKT,SCA,BST,HQC but many others name could be made.
Maybe you can't talk 'bout living legends 'cause to the SHIT scene the REAL people are forgotten easily.
You remember those groups for their works or virus or something else. The 60% of the people now don't know those groups and that's lame but it's not their fault they are new! So if you ask who is SODAN (my best favourite coder) they don'y know or you can ask who is ACKERLIGHT... boh?! they answer (for me one of the best and fast groups without modem). Now I like very much the productions of SCOOPEX and RED SECTOR but as soon as they stop nobody will remember them. That's SHIT to be a legend now you have to stay alive 'cause if you die you will not be remembered but if you are alive you can't be a legend. Only to make you laugh I talk 'bout our fanzine THE BAD TONGUE: after 9 months of lazy wanking we came out with the new number many people call us and many new ones contact us and ask why they have missed the past numbers, many thought that this was number one !! In every charts we were forgotten, the most don't know or remember that together with AFL we were the first to make a JOURNAL!
So to proud yourself it's better to know first  WHAT/WHER/WHO is the scene!!

 d> Why, according to you opinion almost all legends died or aren't busy?
The most of the legends died or changed name cause their best men stop or work hard in software business or their own work. Since the people wanna see always something and soon after a period of silence they think you're died.

 e> Ok. Stop now with this kind of questions... Please give me some more (detailed!) informations about "THE PUB". When you think it will be running?
When? Maybe only one man know! God our lord. I hope in mid of MAY cause we had problems with the HARD-DISK. Thanx to all our friends that have called us. By the way you can call our boards (3 in USA, 2 in Switzy,1 in Denmark). For sure THE PUB will be a real BBS in a land where only the law ob BUY&SELL exists.

 f> And now to you new co-op with PIRANHAS... I think it's  a good thing, but when you left DIGITECH, you told me that you wanted to try on your own...
As DIGITECH did in the past, PIRANHAS ask for a co-op. we are happy to work with good people. Many ask to co-operate but we had to choose. We always go on with our strenght but if we can do a better job with other people, why not ??

 g> Oh, one curiosity... I never understood the real reason why the co-op with DIGITECH failed... Tell me the truth please!
The DIGITECH co-op never failed, only stopped. DIGITECH said that according to all members want to go on for their own way. We don't like the fast decision but we had no problems to go on alone.

 h> Imagine to win two million dollars at lottery... what you do with them... and who is the first person you would fuck off (eg. you boss at your place of work..!) !!.
I like my life as go on (I'm only too busy) I've friends, I've got my own work and with the money i gain (1.100.000 lires per month) I can buy what I want. Yes maybe if i got millions i'd like to have a FERRARI TESTAROSSA and i'll make more journey but i'll be happy as i am now ?? Money is not equal happy !! (I never said this... Paranoid-ED) If i have to say fuck off to someone i don't need money. And remember this slogan -> DON'T TAKE SHIT FROM NOBODY, EVER!

i> Define this COOL word: FRIENDSHIP!
FRIENDSHIP is the best thing that exist and if you have real friends you're a lucky man (i'm a lucky man!) You can do and receive from them something that money can't buy. So a group exist only if members are friends otherwise is not a group but just some people working together for money or something else.

I won't stop all this, i really like it. So till i have time and money to dedicate to Amiga world i'll go on. Open your eyes guyz the scene today is 80% business. Let's keep the 20% clean from the shit!! Join FRIENDSHIP like RED SECTOR did!
