Well, few days ago I recieved a call from Rod. He sounded wery upset. He said: Man, we got competition! I just got a mag called Power !!! It's made by Falcons from Sisak! 


Up until then we thought that we were the only mag in our scene. Well, needless to say I slammed the phone and went straight to Rod's place. When I arrived he seemed surprisingly calm. When he booted disk with Power-mag
 I understood why. OK! Let's go step at a time.

Every mag is expected to have a intro. This one has, too. Made in RSI demo maker!!! With unbelieveably ugly font. Man, you gotta see it to believe it! OK, so intro is bad, let see the mag itself. You click left MB and...
Unsuccessfull attempt to use color text comes. After that Noisereplay starts to play the music from the intro (it isn't bad at all
), border goes away, gemfont is used to replace Topaz, stars are engaged, screen jumps and menu is in front of you. We made an incredible effort and resourced the whole code of the Mag. And, here it is:

You ask why we call Startup-sequence a code? Because there isn't any other. Yes, it's true Power mag
 is in fact just typing text in CLI via PPMore!!! You choose the article by typing E x
 where x is the number of desired article. Then file is executed and text is printed in separated window. Sometimes there is a picture in front of an article. Articles are written in Croatian language, but surprisingly they don't have our character set.

Articles themselves are really interesting althought some are very naive lies. Picture this: one of the editors calls chief of Accolade and introduces himself as Lt.Jerry Mitchell (coder of the crew
) and his secretary immediately puts him through to the boss which doesn't find it unusuall that US Army officer is interested in Accolades' future plans. Come on, guys!!! You can come up with something better than that. Now, a quick newsflash. Demo that you reviewed as Budbrain MD III
 is really a joke of Flash Production team which are angry because of Budbrain's high positions in Eurocharts!!! One other thing. Where's the point of putting pirates on best groups chart? Only thing they are in is MONEY!!! Don't you realize that they mean death to the scene?

Here's some usefull suggestions: Code a mag routine! After all, it isn't so hard to put together a piece of code like this one, so why don't you try? It took us about two weeks to work out the sceleton and a month of constant improving to make it look like this. And I don't mean working 5 hours a day. Second suggestion: switch to English! Amiga scene is a worldwide movement, and English is almost official language of the scene! Third suggestion: If you decide to stick to Croatian, then use our charcter set! And at last, why don't you use F-keys to select articles (Ever heard of a nice utility called SetKey?
).

In conclusion, we must say that Power
 is really an effort worth credit and articles are really interesting, but I think that it doesn't have much of a future in a state like this.

Guys, I hope there isn't any hard feelings after this review, but it's the way I think. We'd like to stay friends with Falcons team, we don't want wars. Go on, keep The Power coming, it's allways good to have a competition, to keep us alert!!!
