CFRescue disk v1.11 by Tomse aka Carsten Jensen http://awesome.commodore.me This version is Released 5th Jul. 2012 Contents: Whats new Requirements Intro Usage Thanks Whats new: V1.11 * Added Amiga Explorer See Special thanks for more info, and copyright. V1.10 * Added DMS I had to compress some of the executable files this takes some more mem in the decomression phase, but you should have more than enough. Free diskspace went from 8kb to 156kb by using file compression and adding dms. V1.00 Initial release Required hardware: Any working classic Amiga with a floppy drive. Serial or Parallel port (for Amiga Explorer) Recommended hardware: Working A600/A1200 PCMCIA storage device i.e. PCMCIA to CF adapter with FAT formatted Compact Flash card Intro: I created this diskette with the purposes of having an easy possibility to make a backup/restore of a system, and transfering diskettes without the need of using/installing a harddrive. The diskette has been tested on: A600 stock, with 1 meg chipmem and Kickstart 2.1 A1200 with 2 meg chipmem, kickstart 3.1 and Blizz 1230 MK IV @ 50MHz. 2GB FAT32 formatted CF card with adapter used for both machines. Usage: Boot the diskette, which you probably have done already. Attach the PCMCIA CF adapter and CF card Start tsgui and you're ready to transfer harddrive or diskettes. GZIP can be chosen if required, but not recommended for HDD transfers, I made a simple test, and it would take 1 hour to transfer 300 megs on the A1200 setup mentioned above, where it took only 5 min not to use GZIP. As a bonus I've added HDInstTool to partition and format harddrives as the older tools shipped with OS2.x and 3.0/3.1 have problems with drives > 4GB Thanks: I would like to send my thanks to Torsten Jager for the CDF version 1.27, Fat95 version 3.11 Oliver Kastl for the HDInstTool version 6.9 Jean-loup Gailly for the GZIP version 1.2.4 Thomas Rapp for TsGui version 2.2 S.
