INTRODUCTION: ------------- Thankyou for buying F1 Licenceware music Vol 2; F1 ROCK. I hope that you find a use for some of the modules on the disk. Look out for further disks in the range - F1 Slow Music, F1 Blues, F1 Funk and so on. I`ve changed the format of the disk from that of Vol 1, in that it doesn`t use NPlay any more. Instead, Protracker itself loads up, and you must load the modules from within the program. To do this, cliclk on DiskOp, then on DF0:. A list of modules will come up in the window, to load one, just click on it once. Then, click on MainMenu (in the topleft corner) then on Play. The music is all powerpacked to fit more onto the disk, and may need to be unpacked before it can be used. The songs are: Envelope: This one has a sort of jazzfunk feel to it because of the use of organs for the main tune. I tried to make the chorus quite heavy, and it all builds up to a change in tempo for the middle 8. Rock1: Rock1 is quite a small module. The main structure of the song was inspired by Led Zeppelin. The lead tune is taken by a saxaphone. Everywhere This one is quite a slow piece of music, but it You Look: builds up to a fast chorus with brass and so on. The first bit is repeated on the third verse. Beat: This is quite a laid back song, with simple chord changes, but it manages to sound quite distinctive because of the use of samples. Summerhearts: This one`s quite old. Unfortunately, it`s also quite large, as the samples used are rather big. MentalRevenge: MentalRevenge is a very old module. It has a sort of spooky, brooding feel to it (well, I think it does, anyway). It is based on the music to a gang-war film I say a few years ago. The synth lead bit is the weakest part of the song. If by any chance you feel that you must have this module, but without the crap bit (!) then write and let me know and I`ll change it. F1Licenceware: This module is a sort of `theme tune` for F1. It draws from Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix in it`s changing drum rhythms and use of guitar. It`s one of the more heavy modules on the disk. If any of the above songs are almost perfect for your game but not quite, then send me a disk, tell me which part(s) you don`t like, and I`ll do my best to change it for you. How`s that for value for money, eh?!
