Screen Fader! By Vic Freed Use: One way to keep your monitor display looking as crisp and clear for as long as possible is to only have it on when your using it. Well instead of turning off the monitor every time you leave the room, how about having a program turn your monitor black. Screen Fader! is a program that fades the top screen to black after a set time of inactivity. If the top screen is pulled part of the way down, it will be pushed up before fading. Any mouse, joystick, or keyboard input will cause screen to fade in. Usage: From CLI -> FADER! nn (nn = 1-60 minutes) Press [CTRL] [HELP] to remove program. Press [CTRL] [LEFT SHIFT] to force fade. If you wish to run this from the startup-sequence, use this format; run FADER >NIL: nn (nn = 1-60) This will send the text that the program prints in the CLI to the NIL:. » Written in 100% ML to be as small as possible. Be aware that Fader! will not work with Workbench 2.0. ---***> Vic Freed <***--- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tool Chest Volume 3, Issue 2, Disk 2 IDG Communications/Peterborough, Copyright 1989 Peterborough, NH 03458
