New  
  
The New option opens a new project window.
  
After you choose the option, AmigaVision 
prompts you for "Flow" or "Content" window 
(types of windows are described in 
Chapter 1 of the User's Manual).  

Click on the desired window type.  
Then click on OK.  

AmigaVision opens a window which may be 
used for editing or creating a project.  
If there is an open window on the screen, 
it will remain, but may be overlaid with 
the new window.  To move a window, click 
in the drag bar gadget and drag the window 
to the new location.

Save  
  
The Save option saves the changes you 
have made to the current project under 
the current filename.  
  
If you have already named the file, 
AmigaVision stores the project under the 
filename you previously specified.  
If the project is not already named, 
AmigaVision will prompt you for a name.  
After you save the project, it remains on 
the screen until you close the window.
  
The Save option will also create a backup 
of your project.  The backup file has the 
same name but with a '.bak' extension.  
The backup will be updated each time you 
save more changes to the original project.

Runtime  
  
The Runtime option prepares a finished 
project for duplication and use.  
 
When you select the option, the Runtime 
requester is presented.

1.	Click on the Directory gadget to open 
the File requester.  Then, specify the 
name of the project you wish to use.  
The name will appear in the File field.

2.	Next, click on then Course Name field.  
Type in the name for the project.  This 
does not need to be the same as the File 
name.

3.	Select Edit Protect to protect the 
project from editing.  The user will be 
able to run the presentation but will not 
be able to view the icon structure in a 
Flow Window.

4.	Specify the drives for copying the 
project to the disk (DF0-DF3)

The Status Window will tell you what files 
are being copied and to what disk they are 
being copied.  It also informs you of any 
problems encountered while copying the 
files.

If one disk becomes full during Runtime, 
AmigaVision will prompt you for the next 
disk.  The disks will also be labelled in 
the order that they are copied.

Configuration  
  
The Configuration option allows you to 
specify the hardware you will be using.  

When you select the option, the 
Configuration requester is presented.

1.	Click on the Laserdisc Player field 
to view a list of supported players in 
the box on the right.  Click on the 
type of Laserdisc player you are using.  
Select the unit number by clicking on 
one of the number gadgets.  At this time, 
only one player can be used.  

2.	Click on the Baud Rate field to select 
a number from 1200 to 9600.  The Parity 
gadget allows for the specification of 
None, Even, or Odd.  

3.	The Genlock and Touch Screen fields are 
for specifying these types of hardware but 
are not available at this time.

4.	Click on Load to open the File requester 
and locate the device driver.  Configuration 
then places the device driver into the 
Devs: directory.

5.	When you click on OK, Configuration 
creates the file, Laserdisc.config and 
places it into the Devs directory.

Quit  
  
The Quit option ends your AmigaVision session.  
  
After you choose the option, a requester prompts 
you to save	any unsaved changes that you 
have made.  For each window which was modified, 
you may choose:  

No -- do not save changes.  

Cancel -- you may continue working on your 
project.  

Yes -- save changes, AmigaVision will save the 
project under its current name.  

	If the work is untitled, AmigaVision opens 
the Filerequester where you will specify the 
volume, drawer and nameof the work to be saved.  

When there are no remaining windows which have 
been modified, AmigaVision is exited. 
  


|06 Collect

The Collect option allows you to gather a group 
of icons into a Module icon or File Folder icon.  
  
1.  Select the option from the menu.  

2.	Then, position the pointer to one of the 
corners of the group of icons to be collected.  
Press and hold the leftmouse button.  
A small rectangle appears in the window.  
The rectangle is sized by moving the mouse.

3.	Continue to hold the mouse button and 
expand the rectangleto include all the icons 
to be collected.  As you do this,the window 
will scroll up or down to allow you to collect 
more icons.  

4.	When you release the button, a requester 
will ask if youwish to collect the icons in 
the rectangle.  

5.	When you click on OK, a module will appear 
as a parent tothecollected icons.  

6.	To collapse the icons use the Telescope 
option.

Print  
  
The Print option prints out the information 
in the outline of your project.

When you select the option, the Print 
requester is presented.

Click on the Printer/File gadget to specify 
whether you want the output printed to a 
printer or a file.  If you choose File, 
type the name of the file in the field 
next to the Printer/File gadget.  Click 
on Directory to open the File requester.  
Here you may choose a filename or create 
a new one for the output.

You may print a selected icon only or the 
entire outline.  To print one icon, select 
it before choosing the Print menu option.  
If there are no selected icons, AmigaVision 
prints the entire outline.

The Names of the icons will be printed.  
If you wish to print the Memo fields as well, 
select the Memo gadget under Info.

When you click on OK, AmigaVision starts 
printing.
