Current Features of Diga! ===================================== PROJECT MENU: ------------- About Diga! - tells you who put together this great piece of software. Fast Menu - gives one a quick way to change some of Diga!'s most common settings. Mark and Space protocol will be added here any day now. (is also accessed by hitting the help key) Load Buffer - allows previosly captured terminal file to be loaded for viewing. Save Buffer - saves online transcript to disk that has been recording by turning on the capture feature. Clear Buffer - clears the current capture in memory. View Buffer - opens a resizable window that allows one to scroll through the contents of the current buffer in memory. (static buffer size of 20k) Print Buffer - prints the current capture in memory. Clip to Buffer - this option transfers the contents of the TxEd clipboard to Diga!'s copy buffer. Buffer to Clip - this option transfer the contents of Diga!'s copy buffer to TxEd's clipboard device. Bell - this option allows one to select Diga!'s bell settings. These can be toggled between flash and no flash and whether or not an audible is desired. Load Config - loads a configuration file and changes the settings accordingly. Save Config - allows one to save the current configuration settings for the program, such as baud rate, protocol, terminal type etc. (includes all macro keys...Diga! automatically defaults to the Configurations directory and checks for a file named Diga!.config when it is first run) Reset Config - this option resets Diga!'s settings to what they would initially be if Diga! was run without a configuration file. Exec Script - allows a programable script file from disk to be executed. CURRENT SCRIPT COMMAND SET ========================== SET fx "String" Sets function key x to "string" DIAL "NUMBER" Dials "number" DELAY x Delays x secs. SEND "string" Sends string to modem WAIT "string"[,x] Waits for string to come, with a x second timeout. BUFFON ["filename"] Turn on the buffer, and store text into a given filename. BUFFOFF Turn Buff Off. GOTO line Goes to a given line or label. ON "string", line[, etc...] On specified string goto line. IF "string" If we got a certain "string" or not. IF "DIGA!:PHONEBOOK" If it was executed from the phonebook then... ENDIF End the If condition. ELSE If the condition was false.. ECHO "string" Print on screen. GLINE x,[y] Gets the next x characters, with a 'y' value in seconds as a timeout. x = 0 for get until CR ABORT End script LABEL line Label for goto SPECIAL x, "string", line Set special #x to string. x is between 1 & 5. If we get string "string" goto line. EXEC "Dos Command" Allows one to use dos commands through scripts XMSEND "file" Send "file" XMODEM XMREC "file" Receive "file" XMODEM KERSEND "file" Send "file" KERMIT KERREC "file" Receive "file" KERMIT BSET Set protocol to B TSEND "file" Send "file" TEXT CDIR "newdir" Set current directory to a new path. CHAIN Executes another script file. baud 1200 Sets baud to specified rate hangup Hangs up phone # Denotes comment field Comments: if anything aborts string will be set to "DIGA!:ABORT". in SEND, ECHO, SET ctrl-keys are denoted by '^', so CTRL-C is ^C if something calls for a "string" you can put a $ there instead, and the last string received will be there.. For instance: GLINE 0 (assuming string sent is 'Intense') ECHO $ Will print Intense on the screen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quit - quits the program. (Will promt one to save configurations and buffers if they have been altered, if the shift key is pressed while quitting, Diga! will bypass these warnings and quit regardless.) PHONE MENU: ----------- Dial - this feature, allows one to quickly enter a phone number and dial it. Re-Dial - this option redials the last number dialed with the dial option. Send Break - sends a 250 millisecond break signal to a remote computer. Hang Up - hangs up the line. Phone Book - allows the user to create a data base of names, phone numbers, and various information which automatically sorts, dials, etc. DIAL - this option dials the number in the number gadget of the current entry, if there is a name in the script gadget, it will execute that script file upon connection. ADD - takes the information currently on screen and adds a new entry to the current address book listings file. DELETE - deletes the current entry from the address book file. STORE - stores the current entry in the address book file under the previos name, adding any changes in the number or information. CANCEL - cancels the address book. CLEAR - clears the current entry for a new entry. PRINT - sends a hard copy of the current entry to the printer. PRINT ALL - sends a hard copy of all entries to the printer. * If you forget the name of the script file that you want to enter, then simply click on the 'Script:' text for a list of files. (same is true for configs...) Change Phone Book - allows multiple phone books to be used. For instances in the directory 'PhoneBooks' one could have files for vendors, customers and electronic services! Macro Keys - allows the users to designate up to 80 characters for each of the ten function keys. A return key, by the way, is entered as a control m (^m). Clicking on the 'qualifier' gadget will allow one to designate up to 50 command keys. The macro keys are saved with the config file as well. Modem Setup - allows the user to define settings for their own modem. SETUP MENU: ----------- Baud - allows one to change baud rate ranging from 300-MIDI. Parity - selects between odd, even, no parity, mark and space also changes stop bits & word length. Handshake - allows one to change control flow protocol from none to xon/xoff, 7-wire and a combination of 7-wire and xon/xoff. Wrap - will let one choose to wrap all words or to simply break them at the end of line. Terminal - There are 3 static terminals and the option of 'special'. The static ones are tty, vt52 and vt100 (this vt100 by the way was written according to the factory manual). The special option should prove to be very powerful, in a nutshell, it provides for Diga! terminal modules that are loaded from the emulations directory. Currently tektronix 4010/14 is available. After loading tektronix, double click the right mouse button for options. Tektonix should be used in 48 line mode but may be used in 23 as well. Tektronix data files are located in the Tekdata directory. Lines - allows one to select between 23,24,24 overscan, 25,48,49 overscan, or 50 lines on screen. Columns - allows you to switch between 80,128 & 132 columns on screen. Cursor - will change from destructive to nondestructive to allow one to backspace over characters or to delete them. Echo - switches duplex mode from full to half. CR - toggles sending CR or Cr and a linefeed. Control Show - allows the user to toggle the control show mode on and off. Color - allows user to change the 4 colors. There are two separate color palettes one for 640x200 and one for 640x400, these are both save in the config file. Screen - allows one to define special display modes (lines, colums, fonts, overscan etc...) Currently not functional. PROTOCOL: --------- Options - these are all xmodem options. The text selection allows files to be transferred in Xmodem Text protocol. Xmodem - selects the xmodem protocol. Among other things, this version of Xmodem supports automatic pad character stripping and batch file transfer. Ymodem - selects the Ymodem protocol. Supports 1K blocks and batch. W-Xmodem - selects the W-Xmodem protocol. Not implemented. Xmodem CRC - selects the Xmodem protocol using CRC error checking. B Protocol - selects Compuserve's B protocol. (also supports Diga! batch file transfer ability) Kermit - selects the popular Kermit protocol. Ascii - Ascii send simply does a straight send using xon xoff control flow. Ascii receive receives until the buffer is full at which time it sends and xoff writes the buffer to disk and continues the reception. Doubletalk - our custom protocol that supports simultaneous two way transmission and two way chat among other things. Ctrl-x now erases chat. (also supports D-talk batch file transfer) DOUBLETALK SUBOPTIONS: ---------------------- Quit - quits Doubletalk and returns to the main terminal screen. Send Files - allows the user to select multiple files to be sent. Receiving is handled auotmatically. Abort Send - aborts sending the current file. Abort Receive - aborts receiving the current file. Abort Send -- All - aborts sending _all_ selected files. Abort Receive -- All - aborts receiving _all_ selected files. Change Receive Directory - changes the current directory for all files being received. Quit - quits the Douletalk protocol and returns to the terminal. * For a greater chat area, enter Doubletalk in 640x400 mode. TRANSFER: --------- Send File - sends a file using the currently selected protocol. (to select multiple files, just click them) Receive File - receives a file using the currently selected protocol. (will ignore filename if batch transfer is in effect) Change Receive Directory - changes the current directory for all files being received. Change Send Directory - changes the current directory for all files being sent. BUFFER: ------- On - turns capture on. Off - turns capture off. Loop Mode - creates a review buffer of everyting in the buffer during the last session...it truncates the first line of the buffer and continues to add to the end of the buffer after it fills. Buffer Size - allows the user to select the buffer size ranging from 4-512K. REMOTE: ------- Enter Remote - places the program in remote mode and waits for incoming phone calls. Configuration - allows one to enter the passwords, time limits, volume selections and the other options required for the remote setup. SUMMARY OF COMMAND KEYS ======================= AMIGA + 'A' = enables Ascii protocol. AMIGA + 'B' = selects Compuserve 'B' protocol. AMIGA + 'C' = selects Xmodem CRC. AMIGA + 'D' = brings up the dial requester. AMIGA + 'H' = hangs up the phone. AMIGA + 'I' = saves a configuration file. AMIGA + 'J' = saves the buffer to disk. AMIGA + 'K' = selects Kermit protocol mode. AMIGA + 'L' = loads a text file from disk into the copy buffer. AMIGA + 'M' = selects macro keys. AMIGA + 'N' = turns copy buffer off. AMIGA + 'O' = turns copy buffer on. AMIGA + 'P' = selects phonebook. AMIGA + 'Q' = quits Diga! AMIGA + 'R' = receives a file. AMIGA + 'S' = sends a file. AMIGA + 'T' = enables text transfer mode. AMIGA + 'V' = views the copy buffer. AMIGA + 'X' = selects xmodem protocol. AMIGA + 'Z' = selects 'B' protocol. AMIGA + ',' = Clip to Buffer. AMIGA + '.' = Buffer to Clip. AMIGA + '/' = Send Break. NOTES: ====== -If you want to execute a script from workbench, just doubleclick the script icon, likewise for a config icon. If you want to execute a config file and a script file then click the config icon and doubleclick the script icon. If you want to call numerous services via scripts, then shift click the script icons, and doubleclick the last one, this will execute the scripts in the sequences that you clicked them. If you run Diga! from the cli, you must use the arguments like so... Diga! -c Diga!.config -s Diga!.script Upon load, Diga! will default to Diga!.config and Diga!.script, both in the root directory.
