  Introduction
  ------------
    This document has been written to help the user of DP Managing 2.21
  to convert faster themself to the release 3.0.

  Compatibility
  -------------
    DP Managing cannot read your old files created with DP Managing 2.x.
   The directory DPMTransfers contains a tool which converts automatically
   your old Database into the new format. This directory contains the
   docfile which explains how to use this software.

     The installation script can detect your old files and does not erase
  them.
     Warning, The new file format seems to readable with DP Managing 2.x.
  But you can just read theses files. And as you don't know when DP Managing
  is written on your disk, it's very dangerous using DP Managing 2.x with
  your Database in the new file format. It could corrupt youur complete
  Database, and your database will be unrecoverable.

  Bugs fixed
  -----------
    There is no bug in the module of borrowings : NO BUG.
    DP Managing does'nt go away with the software system when he cannot
  found any library in the volume libs:

  That's all for the bugs : I have received no other bug report.


  What's news ?
  -------------
    because of release 3.0, There are many new features :
    The icon file needs 3 new toolstypes which allow to choose the length
  of comment of the programs (until 400 caracters), to protect the database
  and to not directly work on computer file : DP Managing can work with
  anything else than computer file (CD, cassette...). So, the words
  disk and disque have been changed into media and support.
    The print section can format the text printed with the length of
  the comment.
    The protection has been fully rewritten : The user can now choose
  his own password.
    DP Managing 3.0 is shareware, and the demo mode has simply disappear.
    The Installation Script test just the MC 68020 and MC 68000 :
    DP Managing is compiled for 68020 and 68000. I regret the A1200 has not
  any math coprocessor.
    The export file have now their docfile in french and in english.
    DP Managing doesn't use the PowerPacker.library, but the package contains
  the last release of ReqTools.library
    All the lists are shown in alphabetical order.
    The word "configuration" has been replace by "comment 2" because it
  was used as a special comment.
    for the end, DP Managing is now compiled under SAS/C 6.0, the last
  release of the best C compiler available on Amiga.


  Conclusion
  ----------
    I think it's not difficult to adapt himself to release 3.0 because
  the philisophy and the look and feel is the same as the older releases
  except release 1.23. If you have any problem, please consult the other
  textfiles or contact me directly.
