Dialing a number:

	You can dial a number manually or through the phonebook.  To dial
a number manually, type the following:

ATD <phone number>

	and press <return>.  For example to dial 555-1212, you would type:

ATD 555-1212

	Note that this dials using the modem's current dialing mode (tone 
or pulse).  You can override this setting by typing a T (for tone) or P (for
pulse) at the end of the ATD command.  For example, to tone dial 555-1212,
you would type:

ATDT 555-1212

	You can avoid having to type a T or P each time by setting the modem's
dialing mode.  Before you can set the mode you must be in the AZComm program.

	To set the modem to always use tone dialing, type the following (note
that you MUST press the return key after typing this command):

ATT&W

	Setting the modem for pulse mode is similar except that the command
is:

ATP&W

Editing the phonebook:
---------------------------------------

	The phonebook is a file named "comm.phone" which can be found in the
AZComm directory.  To add/edit/delete entries in the phonebook, you must first
open the file in your favorite editor (there is no facility built into AZComm
for editing the phonebook).  The first few lines of the phonebook will look
like this:

	Add your own entries to the end of the list by typing in the
appropriate information in the same format as the entry shown above.

IMPORTANT:  You MUST start each 'field' of data under the vertical bar at
the beginning of each column.

	Data can be edited freely, but be careful to keep the columns aligned
properly.
	You can delete entries by using your editor to 'cut' the line out.
This can usually be done by putting the cursor at the beginning of the line
and pressing the Del key until the line is completely gone.

	Once all of your changes are made, save the file.
IMPORTANT: The file MUST be in the same directory on the disk as the AZComm
program or it will not be loaded.
