To run an existing job:
______________________

You must define which job you want
to run (or edit) first of all.

If you are not sure what is on the
disc, then press (J) to obtain a
list of the jobs.

When you have decided which one
you require to RUN (or work on)
Use (c) Change JOB and enter
the jobname from the keyboard,
followed by (return).

Select option (1) from the menu.
The transition type is already
set from preferences, and may be
either Cut Fade or Print.  In
automatic mode, use spacebar to
start and end the sequence.

In manual mode, spacebar cues each
title in turn. Once you have run
in manual mode, then you can RUN
timecode, which mimicks the
timing of your run in Manual mode.

Use * to abort any sequence.

How to start a new job:

Select M on the menu, and enter
a name for the job of your choice
(if you choose a name that has
already been used, then you will
get the message "already exists")

Next, select (8) for setting
the preferences.

The sequence types supported
are:
1) Fullscreen auto-centre
2) Landscape video window.
3) Portrait masking

Transitions available are
C=Cut F=Fade P=Print

The rendering options are-

P-Plain text
O-Outline
D-Dropshadow

Set the maximum number of lines
required also. <400.

Tab position may be set, or use
L=left margin, or C=Centre.

Dwell time is the duration that
each screen appears for, before
the next arrives.  This only
applies to automatic cue mode.

Setting dwell to M will set
manual cue mode, in which case,
spacebar cues the sequence at
each stage, or you can use enter
to bring title on/off screen,
and the +/- keys to load the next
or previous one.

You will also need to decide
which transition type you want,
they are C=cut F=fade P=print.

If you don't want to change any
of the preferences, just press
(enter) to skip to the next one.

When you have finished with
preferences, then you can select
N-New, and begin editing the
text itself. New should only be
used if text does not exist. If
you want to edit existing text
then you should use the E-edit
mode of the editor.

The Editor:
__________

You may overtype any existing
text with new from the keyboard.
Note that you never require any
spaces at the beginning of the
line. If you do this, then the
automatic centreing, or the
left margin will be incorrect.
The program will remove any
trailing spaces for you.

Note that each separate page must
end with a # character. You can
have up to six lines per page.

Use (Ctrl-I) to insert a text
line, and (Ctrl-D) to delete a
line of text.

When you have completed entering
the text, you press (escape).
If you want to abandon the edit,
press A, or save it to disc, B.

After these three stages are
complete, the job will run,
so long as the program can
understand the parameters you
have set. If you have trouble,
compare your job with one of
the demos provided.

Fonts
_____

The font used on the first
line of each screen, and the
colour of the text, can be
chosen separately from the
font and colour of the
remaining text.

Use option 9 from the menu,
highlight the font you want.
use the B,I & U keys to set
the stlye, then press either
1) To set FONT 1 or
2) To set FONT 2

The colours are set from (7)
on the menu. Select the col
to change, and use RrGgBb
keys to adjust. Enter will
save values, * exits to use.
Note colour 3 is used as the
videokey in seq type 2 & 3.
In this case foreground mode
of genlock is used.

The exact value of Col 3 key
is shown on seq type box.
Set this to suit genlock.
