Hello.... This is Substance/?! writing. You'll probably not recognise the name, my real name is Johannes Ringheim. I have changed handles and groups several times, but never feeling comfortable about anything. So now, after a major break in swapping, I'm back! (Woooooow!!!) Naturally, as I'm not currently part of any group, I'm looking for one to join. Can anyone help me? Anything is good enough really, as long as the group is PRODUCTIVE, and preferrably has a mag. (I like writing, but not really important...) you can also find one of my mods on one of the disks. Feel free to spread...;-> PARTY!! This summer I went to the Assembly'94 in Finland. The party was NICE, although a few minor things could have been done better. No ones perfect, and definetely not all parties 8>). I went together with Pudding/Banana Dez, amongst others. We had a good time, even though we missed some of the compos (booze...). The party greets goes to... Eskimos, Scoopex(PC), Sonic(PC), Polka Brothers, Disaster, VD, Stellar! + alot of people we don't know who are :-( . . . The Amiga intros and demos compos were pretty impressive, and at the same time the PC-compos were CRAP!! Not that i'd expected anything else. I have also heard that the 64 compos were impressive, containing high quality grafix, lightsourced vectors, dottunnels, etc...nice... I'm looking forward to Assembly'95, cause I regard Asm'94 a success. Many people showed up...should we say about 2500? Maybe a bit less, perhaps... Well, no party without negative aspects. At Asm94 these were (IN MY OPINION!) : - crap audio quality (too much bass, almost only bass - too noisy) - closed far too early (about 9 o'clock Sunday morning. I had set this day off to copy the demos, but no! We came home with just a few demos, all the intros, no mods, no gfx, almost nothing!!) - a promised techno concert turned out to be a crap rap-and-a-lady-singing type thing. I didn't like it, it sounded more like 2 Unlimited and Capella than techno... Some positive things: - compos running just about all the time... - much people showed up - nice hall (showers, sleeping, etc) - reliable power sources (NOT at TG'94!!) - nice free pin and vote disk! So why this big delay, you might ask. Well, I'll not come up with any stupid excuses (like certain other swappers does - no one believes you anyway, so just cut the crap!!). The truth is that I've been too LAZY to do anything. I have been making music, but that's about it... Another thing is that after i left Grotesticle I haven't had any inspiration (just because of the lack of group) to swap. The reason for leaving GRT was lack of productions, bad organising, too many lamers, etc... Things change, however. I am buying a 28.8 modem (got it cheap - takk Eivind...) So I hope I'll be able to supply you with new modem-warez in the future. IMPORTANT!!! - I'll have to pay my share of the phone-bill, but on the other hand I don't want to drop any of my contacts. The solution is faking stamps, so if you don't return the stamps, and have no good reason for not doing so, I'll might have to drop you :-(.
