------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What you need:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To run this program you need ARP.LIBRARY in LIBS: . In the final version
REQ.LIBRARY wil be used...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For whom ? (the bell tolls)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This tool is dedicated to two kind of people:

1. poor vectorcoders for helping them to design their vectorobjects.
2. beginners who want to use vectorobjects although they can't code
   them themselves.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
With TUBE you are able to design your own vectorobjects. In this preview
only vectorballs are supported, but you can use it already for other
stuff because you are able to save a sourcecode of your object.
TUBE is able to load your own graphics (from 2 to 5 bitplanes and from
1x1 to 256x256 pixles). This is possible because of a REAL bobclipping...
So you can use the same graphics you are going to use in your own demo and
so you really get what you see! There is also an option to load a little
1 bitplane picture (mask...) in the background to set some bobs at its
corner. So you can design vectorobjects looking like the picture (good for
vectorlogos...). Also there are many other commands like: MirrorX-Z,Remove,
Rotate, Shift centers, Shift all balls, Test object....
To load your own graphics you have to buy the final version of TUBE
in which two little programs are included which convert your IFFpictures
to TUBEpictures. But for testing you can load some already converted examples
which are included on this disk.
This preview is only one part of TUBE. Yeahhh...you guessed it...it's the
vectoreditor! The final version of TUBE will include further parts like
an editor for transformations and an editor for rotations and an improved
vectoreditor...so BUY IT !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The final (no, not command!) version:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features of the final version:

-TRANSFORMATIONEDITOR: It allows you to design a kind of script, telling
your AMIGA how to transform objects. It'll be
possible to transform between at least 4 objects
at once! You will be able to design complex
			transformations with pauses and loops.

-ROTATIONEDITOR:	It allows you to make all points of an object
rotating around each other in 3 different speeds.
So you are able to design helicopters...

-LINEMODUS: This mode in the vectoreditor will help
you to design vectorlogos and that kind
of stuff. You are also able to simulate surfaces
by using lines. There wil be options like
autolines, connect all bobs with lines, search
			surfaces...

-SOURCECODE: For all beginners a sourcecode will be included
which can freely be used by everyone.
So even beginners are able to code cool demos
(Just use my source and some of your routines like
			scroller...).
...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The available commands of this preview:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOAD Object:
************
Load saved object to current objectnumber. Look in the directory
'OBJECTS' for some examples.

LOAD Shapes:
************
Load another collection of bobs (graphicdatas). These collections are
made with a little program which will be available in the final version.
You are able to load nearly all graphics you want and use them as
vectorbobs. The graphics have to have a size between 1x1 and 256x256
pixles and can have a depth between 2 and 5 bitplanes!
There are some examples in the directory 'SHAPES' (Sorry for some lame
gfx done by myself like BigBob.SHAPES and 5BplBob.SHAPE...)

NOTE:	If you have designed an object and you load another collection
of graphics, the object will be modified if the new collection
contains less graphics then the original. So you don't get the
original object by re-loading the original graphics!
This means you should select the right collection of datas
BEFORE editing an object (especially if you use different sizes
	of bobs...).

LOAD GFX:
*********
Load a 1 bitplane graphic to the background. This is of advantage if
you have a picture (logo...) and want to convert it to a vectorobject.
You only have to convert your graphic with a little tool which will be
included in the final version and load it. With the gadget 'BACKGR.'
you can switch this background on and off (or use 'RETURN').
There are some examples in the directory 'BACKGROUNDS'.

SAVE Object:
************
Save current object.

SAVE Source:
************
Save a sourcecode of the coordinates of the current object.
In this preview you aren't able to do this (sorry...)!

Switch Objectnumbers:
*********************
With F1-F4 you can toggle between 4 objects which are in memory at the
same time. So you are able to edit several objects at once.
You are also able to copy one object to another (which get killed!)
by pressing the keys '1'-'4'.

Move Bob:
*********
The current bob (the glittering one) can be moved with the cursorkeys,
the mouse (move mouse while pressing the right mousebutton...) and the
joystick.
If you press SHIFT while using cursorkeys you can step the current bob
by 3 pixles. So you can edit easily geometric objects.

Set Bob:
********
The current bob can be set by pressing SPACE and ENTER on your keyboard,
by pressing the left mousebutton and by pressing FIRE.
In this preview you are able to create objects containing up to 150 bobs.
If you have set a bob, the next one will appear at the position of
the last one with the same graphics. So you might be not able to see
it glitter! Just move a little to see where it is...

Remove Bob:
***********
You can remove all bobs and not only the last one.
Just move to the bob you want to kill (using '.' and '-') and press
'R' or use the gadgets.

Change current Bob:
*******************
Just use '.' for the previous bob, '-' for the next bob or the gadgets.

Mirrors:
********
To mirror an object use the following keys or the gadgets:
G: Mirror at x-axis
H: Mirror at y-axis
Z: Mirror at z-axis

Change view:
************
If you want to change the view on your object then use X,Y,Z rotate your
object by 90 degrees or use the gadgets.
This is important because you have to change the view to design 3d-objects.
You are surely aware of the problem that you can't edit the z-axis
of an object while looking on its front. So you have to rotate it first
by 90 degrees around the y-axis and you look at the left side of your
object. Now you're able to edit the z-axis by moving left and right.
Think about it! It's important.
By the way: The view is displayed after (you already guess it...) VIEW:

Change Bob (graphics):
**********************
To change the graphic of the current bob use the gadget 'SHAPE' or
press 'B' for next graphics and 'SHIFT+B' for previous graphics.
The width, height and depth of the current bob is displayed in the left
corner.

Shift Centers:
**************
You are able to move the center of the rotation. So it's possible
to rotate your object for example around its middle in the left
corner...

Shift all bobs:
***************
If you notice that your object doesn't rotate wide enough, so
use this option to move your object away from the center of
the rotation.

Test Object:
************
Press 'T' or the gadget 'TEST' to start and end the testing of
the object. To rotate the object just use your mouse...
If this mode is selected nearly all keys are inactive, so stop
testing (by pressing the left mousebutton or 'T') before
you continue editing!

Projection:
***********
Switch projection on/off by pressing 'P' or the gadget.
For editing please turn off the projection because otherwise
a little bug appears and you aren't able to move the bob
with the mouse exactly...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think all other functions needn't be explained because everybody
knows them (press HELP in the vectoreditor for keycodes...).
If you have some questions, improvements or bugreports then contact me!

If you wanna call me, please try between 2 pm to 7 pm on saturday or sunday!

Have fun with this tool!
