SWAPDATA - INFORMATION LETTER - STRAIGHT FROM SYSOP

   First of all, Swapdata was NOT busted, coz a board with no npd-software
   doesn't have anything to be afraid of. The rumours got a "bit" bigger 
   and I personally ask the people who are spreading them to stop. We have
   just promised to keep a closer look on pirate files, if somebody uploads
   them -> they will be deleted as always as soon as possible. 

   The false information has been spreaded widely, and even I do not know
   what is true anymore. What I know and what I have told to some of my 
   friends is:

           A)  23-Oct-1991 Swapdata was honored to get a new user
               to its board, somebody from Toptronics called, I 
               will not tell who, becouse I think that would just
               make people more aggressive... 8-)

           B)  I chatted for one hour and 50 minutes with him and
               I showed him our fileareas, and becouse of the legal
               softwares, there were nothing that would be against
               this system and its users. I made this just for the
               BBSs' sake, I wouldn't have had to that, but I have
               nothing to hide in this BBS... so?!?

           C)  After explaining some of our BBSs' rules to him, 
               I promised to ask from the users - if I could give
               him access, becouse as you all know, we have "voted"
               against/for new users for a long time.

           D)  He also hoped that SysOps will give their userlists
               to them, but I stated that it would be a crime from
               me to give them private information. Anyway, no 
               offence.. 

           E)  Then after the "merry" chatter ended and I hadn't 
               time to chat -> dinner was ready.. I hoped him all
               the best and we "ended" the chat as a normal chat.

    Only this happened, a bit more, but why the hell someone made the 
    rumours that almost all BBSs' in Finland were closed and captured
    with pirated software and many were in jail. It made a total chaos
    on the scene. I know that BBSs' what have only PD-Software are 
    rated as lame BBSs', I think that's why we have only a few active
    users in this BBS...

    Well, A fellow called Dodger made a "bit" nasty text-file that gave
    some false information too, (thanx for the encouragement 8-)..) but
    as stated before -> Swapdata was NOT BUSTED, coz there is absolutely
    NO REASON that it would have been busted for NPD-Software. 

    One for all and all for one? (to Dodger 8-)..)

    I do not know that if a user called SLY or somebody from BLOODSUCKERS
    (as the rumours say..) has messed up somenthing in the BBSs', please
    tell me that story someday, I even haven't got any users from BLOOD-
    SUCKERS nor a user called SLY...


      If U don't believe this TXT-file, call my board, what will run 
      as strong as before -> ONLY PD STUFF. 0-1 day old in Finland.
