Well, in front I will tell you that this will not be a very long letter, because within 15 minutes the first semi-final in the worldcup will begin. I was born on 27 - 02 - 1973 (So when you remember it by then, you can always send presents...). I am a swapper, packmaker and leader of my group. Effect was founded on 01-01-1992. But I entered the scene somewhere in June of that year. I did not do much in 1992, but in '93 I started more serious swapping. This is my first group and it will also be my last. I don't believe in changing groups all the time. I think that it does not matter in what group you are, as long as you have fun, and that is what I am having. If I wanted to be in other groups, I would have changed groups back in 1993. Furthermore, Effect is a Dutch only group. And at the moment it only consists of people I really know. Meaning that they live (relatively) close together. We see eachother at least once a month, some members I see at least once a week and some even more than once a week. So we are truly based on friendship. Let's get on to my configuration. 1: Amiga 500 (V1.2 very old...). 512kb Chip, 512kb Fast. External 5.25 diskdrive, and the usual disks, joysticks, mice. 2: 486-66 (Yes, it is a pc. And no, it does not suck. It's actually a great computer with big potential. There are some good demos on it. Too bad that it is incompatible as hell (but amiga is too). Too bad there is no scene on pc as we know it on amiga). 1mb SVGA card, 1mb Gravis Ultrasound Soundcard (the best, it's standard on demos), 4mb internal, joypad, star LC-10 matrixprinter. 3: (the best!) Amiga 1200, 2mb chip, 340 mb harddisk. That's it in fact. Hobbies: Hmm, I like to play some basketball and occasionally some tennis and soccer. Ofcourse I like the amiga scene, hang out with my friends, watch videos/movies. My favourite (alcoholic drink) is AMARETTO and COKE (it's an excellent combination). My musical interest is hard to explain, I like a whole lot. But here are some of my favourites: Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Roxette, Dire Straits, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Whitney Houston, Capella, Culture Beat, Guns N'Roses, Metallica, etc. And for amiga musicians: Lizardking (he rules), Jogeir, Jester, Romeo Knight, Nuke, Chorus&Sid, Xtd, Svolkraq, Moby, etc. So, that was easy for me, and hopefully you liked it too (if you did not, I don't care !!!). You wrote 'friendship is the reason' so I guess you enjoy the scene to the fullest. I do too. You have 510 MB harddisk and you are a musician....I guess this means you have got a lot of modules on your harddisk ! If that is true, I think I am happy. I am (also) a module-freak, so I collect good modules. My absolute favourite is LIZARDKING so if you have a module from him which I do not have, send it to me. Lately I also discovered JOGEIR LILJEDAHL, but I do not have much modules from him yet, could you change that ? Would be nice of you.
