-= Blue Boxing =-   

                ---- ATTENTION ALL AUSTRALIANS!!! ----

  Approximately 1 month ago we found we were no longer able to blue-box.
  The common knowledge was that it was dead ..... this is not true!!!
 
 OTC (The lovely company we charge our calls to!) decided to make things
 difficult for us! They have made two main changes to blue-boxing! Follow
 these instructions and the world of blue boxing will again be open to us
 all!!


 1) The dialup we were all using ( Hawaii - 0014-881180 ) now has a new
 rotating trunk system! This means they have several different numbers 
 which your call is diverted through! Unfortunately only a few have the
 facilities to make blue-box possible. From my testing I believe that only
 about 5 out of a possible 20 work! 

 So if you would like to blue-box a call you will need to ring back several
 times until you find the right one. (Simply just redial and if you seize
 and it hangs up on you CALL BACK!! or if it works - WELL DONE!)


 2) Up until blue-boxing appeared to die, the international exchanges
 accepted a variety of tones which were within the range (+-25 Hz) of
 the tones needed to seize the lines. 

eg:  

  OLDER METHOD!!! - Seize #1 -  2400+2600 (180 ms duration, 160ms delay)
                  & Seize #2 -  2400+2400 (240 ms duration, 700ms delay)


   This is where the main change has taken place!!! The tones now 
 required have been changed slightly, and due to new equipment the 
 tones need to be almost EXACTLY right (+-5 Hz) to seize the lines!!
 After a lot of trial and error I have found these tones to work 
 perfectly!!

  NEW METHOD!!!!! - Seize #1 -  2390+2600 (150 ms duration, 165ms delay)
                  & Seize #2 -  2410+2390 (225 ms duration, 600ms delay)

   So there you have it!!! Now we can all blue-box in peace! And remember
 these things:


  ** For Blue-Boxing to die OTC will have to change their entire phone
      system!! This will cost them a HUGE amount of money and is very
      unlikely to happen!!! Blue-Box will never die, only the tones
      will change!

  ** Their are NO Australian laws which forbid Blue-Boxing!! There is no
      Legal Way for them to charge you for the calls and even if they know
      you are doing it their is nothing they can do to prevent it!!

  ** If you are having trouble in making these tone modifications with 
      the blue-boxer you are using (Some of them have the tone specs. 
      hard-coded!), then try using TPB (The Phraud Box) or maybe WhiteBox!

  ** AMIGA Rulez! The Amiga Pirate Scene RULEZ! I.B.laMe. will never take
      over!
