You begin the game, a Lowly Citizen in the Border town of Astenia.

Things you should DO before before Entering the Dungeons or the wilderness.

Buy Food.
Buy a Weapon
Buy armor if your class permits it.
if you can afford it, also buy healing.

\c4Elixer of the Mind \c1-\c3 Restores some of your used Spell points.
\c4Potion of Healing  \c1-\c3 will partially heal body damage.
\c4Rope               \c1-\c3 Used to climb up and down Holes.
\c4Torches & lamps    \c1-\c3 Used to see in the Dungeons!!
                     Never go in a dungeon without one.
\c4Matches            \c1-\c3 Used to light Torches & lanterns!
\c4Oil                \c1-\c3 Need Oil to put in the Lantern!

Fight The Beasts that await in the woods or Dungeons.

Just what it says..your Character will be ERASED from Disk, so that you
may pick a new class and Race and your stats will be re-rolled...

This is where you can go in search of Treasure, Monsters and Is the ONLY place where you can gain Experience.  Without Experience, You can't go up levels. And you only get experience from KILLING MONSTERS and ENEMIES.  And the only place you can kill would be the forest or the Dungeons.

To help you in the Dungeon, A small 1 to 3 line description is given in each area, and it will also state what ways you can go: (north,south,east,west,up,down.)

it will also draw a Map of that room to help visual the situation.
This Map may be Toggled ON and OFF using the letter Z.

(Type ?) in the dungeon or Forest for a Menu of what you can do.


Fountains/pools etc.. can be found in these areas.  Drinking from such, MAY ,either Help, hinder or Do nothing at all...

Using the [R]est Command

This WILL NOT RESTORE your hitpoints!
It will restore Spell points only!!

When you start out.. Run from the big Monsters. They are Mean.

Go for the little weak ones, like the bandit, skeletons, Zombies, Ghouls, the Little blue people...

DON'T Try to take a Vampire at first (Or even 2nd Level..) you'll die trying...
