I'll be honest with you, the reason i've had so big fucking delays is that i actually stopped swapping. But today i'm back on track and i'll be up to my old 'ultra fast' swapping. Hopefully most of you wont be too upset with my 'holiday', and i'm sure some of the guys who've i known for some time, know how easy it is to loose motivation for swapping, especially if you've been swapping like crazy for a few years. I was going to release the next issue of Subculture and recontact you all again, but then my mother (who i hadn't seen in almost 10 years) offered to me and Daze to come and visit her in Switzerland. So off on a bus across europe we went. It's funny really because i swore that i would never get on a eurolines bus again after my journey back from Sweden last year, (some might remember what i wrote about this nightmare journey) and as soon as we were on the bus i relalized how fucking shit the busses really are. My advice? catch a plane or hitchhike, but don't ever get on a Eurolines coach! ;) Ok so i promised myself to release the next issue of Subculture when i got back to england and then a few days later the files i'd been waiting for for 'Nostalgia 2' arrived on my doorstep, it was then that i decided to finish the intro once and for all and get my swapping carreer on the go again. Ok so there will be a new issue of Subculture (hopefully) ready about 2-3 weeks after i post this letter to you, the reason i say 2-3 weeks is that i really need YOUR help and support for this issue, really i do! It's not too great, well it's okay but the lookup table needs highly optimizing..But that's not what your'e interested in is it, no the blitter operations to draw each character is what your'e after right? Well it's all there. Ok if you wanna rip it and put it in yer code then no probs, but like i say you might want to rewrite the character reader (and send to me ;) hehe. Ok here's a breif explanation on how i put it together. Basically after it finds the correct character it blits it to the first position then increments the pointers.
