PhotoCopy

(for Mustek Paragon 600 and Epson-GT flatbedscanners)

"PhotoCopy" is a little program which allows you to use your
scanner and printer as a photocopier. The program can be used
for text copies only; for more advanced features like greyscales
or colors, you should use real scan software.


System Requirements
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
- Amiga with OS 2.04 or higher and at least 2 MB of memory
- Mustek Paragon 600 or Epson-GT flatbedscanner
- for Paragon: suitable SCSI interface (e.g. Squirrel-SCSI, A-4091;
               but not A-2091, Amiga 3000, Fastlane)
  for Epson:   SCSI interface or connection to the parallel port
               (with special cable, see below)
- Printer


Installation
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Put the "PhotoCopy" drawer (or just the program itself) somewhere
onto your harddisk.
Then change the tooltypes...

... if using a SCSI interface:
      set DEVICE and UNIT to the right settings.
      (Depends on your SCSI interface card and the SCSI unit of the
      scanner)

... if using the parallel port (only with Epson scanners):
      set the tooltype "PARALLEL". "DEVICE" and "UNIT" are
      ignored in this case.


Use
¯¯¯
Scale:      If you want the source picture to be enlarged, 
            select 141 % or 200 %.

Resolution: The resolution of the scanner. 300 dpi works best.
            The memory requirement depends on the resolution:
               50 dpi ­>  60 kB
              100 dpi ­> 120 kB
              300 dpi ­>   1 MB
              600 dpi ­>   4 MB
            (full page, enlarged pictures need less)

Copy:       Press this button to start copy. The source picture
            is scanned and then printed.
            The printing can be aborted with the menu item
            "Project » Abort Copying".
