BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP !!! ========================================================================== SOME WORDS ABOUT DISK PROTECTION -------------------------------- Some software companies periodically modify their disk protection schemes. The disk that Fuller Computer Systems has examined MAY NOT have the same type of disk protection as the disk you have, even if the title and version number of the software is the same. For this reason, a parameter may not be able to make a working backup of a software title even though it appears in the parameter list. If a disk that you are trying to backup has been modified in any way, Project D may be unable to identify it automatically and you will need to select the parameter manually. If you have used the software before making a backup copy, the disk may have been modified and Project D will be unable to make a working backup. Please be sure to make backups of your original disks before using them. We are always looking for ways to make Project D better, if you have any suggestions or complaints, please let us know and we will do our best to correct any problems. Karate King | NOTE: Try using "Parameter A V2.0" if the standard parameter doesn't work. ========================================================================== POPDECODER MINITOOL FOR POPULOUS -------------------------------- To make a backup copy of your Populous disk, first make a copy of your original Populous disk using the BackupTool in AmigaDOS copy mode. Select "PopDecoder" from the MiniTools menu and follow the instructions displayed in the PopDecoder window. Make sure you use a COPY of your Populous disk, not your original. Once you have created a new Populous disk using the PopDecoder you can install Populous onto your hard disk by copying all of the files in the root directory of the Populous disk into a subdirectory on your hard disk. Then assign "Populous:" to that subdirectory. All you have to do now is start the Populous program. NOTE: Populous will run consideribly faster on 68020 or 68030 based computers (like the A2500/A3000). This is a side effect of running a faster processor.
