NOTES TO USERS WITH 512K SYSTEMS

If you have a 512K Amiga with an external drive, GO-64! will NOT load
properly from Workbench.
 
There are two ways to correct this problem:

1) Disconnect your external drives before booting your Amiga with GO-64!.

2) Make a GO-64! CLI disk.

It can be inconvenient to disconnect the drives every time you use GO-64!,
so we recommend that you create a GO-64! CLI disk.

WARNING: Damage to your Amiga can result if the power is ON when connecting
peripherals.


The following instructions outline the procedure to create a
GO-64! CLI disk:

1) Make a copy of your orignal GO-64! V2.0 distribution disk.  To make
   a backup copy, use the Workbench duplicate utility as outlined in the
   Amiga User's Guide.

   Even if you don't want to make a CLI disk you should make a backup
   copy for archival purposes.

2) Reboot your Amiga using your new copy of GO-64! V2.0.

3) Double click the GO-64! V2.0 disk icon when it appears.
   
4) When the GO-64! V2.0 window appears, double click on the icon
   called 'CLI'.

5) You will now see another window with a prompt that looks like this '1>'.
   At the prompt type:

   EXECUTE GO-64!/MakeGO64CLI [RETURN]


Now when you reboot your Amiga with your new GO-64! V2.0 CLI disk you will
see the CLI screen instead of the Workbench screen.

To run GO-64!, at the CLI prompt type:

   RUN GO-64! [RETURN]


In addition to the GO-64! program there are also some useful commands
available to you.  The commands are:

   SETPREFSA2000 - Set Preferences TARGET SYSTEM to A2000.
   CLRMEM	 - Clear special GO-64! RAM locations after warm reboot.
   SWAP          - Swap the current active Amiga mouse port.
   CACHE         - Toggle the 68020 cache ON/OFF.

To use the commands, at the CLI prompt type:

   {filename} [RETURN]

where {filename} is the name of the command you wish to run.

In addition there are several documentation files on the GO-64! disk.
The documentation files are:

   INSTRUCTIONS  - Instructions file for GO-64! V2.0
   PROGRAMLIST   - Latest tested software list and helpful hints
   512KNOTES     - This file

To read the documentation files, at the CLI prompt type:

   LESS {filename} [RETURN]

where {filename} is the name of the documentation file you wish to read.

ONE LAST NOTE

We STRONGLY recommend having at least 1M of memory when using GO-64! to
take full advantage of the Amiga's multi-tasking environment.

Also SIS BASIC is not available on 512K minimum configuration systems.
