We  at  CONSULTRON  would  like  to thank you for purchasing CrossDOS
Plus.  We are always trying to provide you with a quality product for
your productivity needs.

The files included with this archive are patches to be applied to the
CrossDOS  Plus  product  disk.  Once the patches are applied, you can
use it from the product disk or reinstall it on your hard drive.

Patching CrossDOS Plus

These patches will only patch your CrossDOS Plus product disk to 5.04
if it is one of the following releases:

5.00    5.01    5.02    5.03

You can identify which release you have by displaying the second line
in the "READ.ME" file on your product disk.

The following steps should be used to patch successfully.

1. Make a "diskcopy" of the original CrossDOS Plus product disk.  Use
the copy of CrossDOS Plus for patching ONLY.

2.   Make  sure  the  copy of CrossDOS Plus is named "CrossDOS_Plus".
Rename  the disk if necessary.  (ie.  remove "copy of " or "copy_of_"
from the name)

3. From Workbench, double-click on the "Patcher" icon.

4.   Answer the few questions presented.  Go get a cup of [..........
insert your favorite drink here .......].

5.   If  you  wish to use the updated programs from the product disk,
you may need to reboot to flush the old programs from the system.  If
you  previously  installed our product, reinstall it again and reboot
the system.

Update History

These patches fix some minor bugs and add some minor features.

--  Fixed a problem with MS-DOS hard disk partitions larger than 32M.
The  fix  provides  the  correct  number  of  blocks in the partition
instead  of  zero.  The bug would sometimes cause a software error of
"8000005" = divide by zero.

--  Fixed a problem that occurs on some SCSI host controllers.  Using
one   of  these  controllers,  the  installation  would  'hang'  when
configuring a hard disk for use with CrossDOS and CrossPC.

--  Fixed  a problem under WB 1.3 when running "diskcopy" or "format"
from the CLI.

-- Added "M5aFix", "KillClick" (for 2.0 only).

-- Made the "Install" program a little more intelligent.

Distribution Rights

Please  distribute  this  archive INTACT to any legal bulletin board.
We  are  allowing  registered  purchasers of CrossDOS Plus to upgrade
their version of the product (Version 5) to the current release at no
cost as long as they use these patches.  Those who do not have access
to  these  patch files may send in $10.00, the original disk, and the
completed  registration.   We  will  update  the  disk to the current
release of the same version and send it back.

Although  we  will  try to continue this policy as long as we can, we
reserve the right to discontinue it.

Updating "pirated" versions of CrossDOS Plus are legally prohibited.
