   ¢02 As  you  may  have  read in a note
 spread  by ¢01Pink Panther of Paralax¢02, I
 have  been  accused  of been a police
 informer.   this  is  to let you know
 the  truth of what happened for me to
 get this name.
    One sunday morning at 9.00am I got
 a  phone  call  from  someone  asking
 about  some  Amiga software for sale.
 I  said I did not know anything about
 the advert.  This was to be the first
 of hundreds of calls.  I then went to
 the  shop and bought the Sunday paper
 and  in  the  computer section was an
 advert for Amiga software for sale at
 $2.00  per  disk.   It  gave  my home
 address,  name and phone number.  Boy
 was  I pissed off in a major way.  So
 I  thought, "who could have done this
 to me??"
    After  a couple of phone calls the
 rumour  was  that someone in Mandurah
 had  placed  the  addy.  "¢15Bullshit¢02" I
 thought.   Only  Pink Panther knew of
 my  personel details and did not like
 me.   So I called him up and told him
 that  I was going to the police about
 this  to see what they could do about
 this.   He  said not to do this as he
 would  talk to some police friends of
 his  to see what they could do.  Well
 I  said that I will still be going to
 the  police  and that I believed that
 he  was  the one to place the advert.
 Boy was I upset.
    So I talked to the police and also
 spoke  to  the "Sunday Times" to find
 out who placed the advert.  Well they
 told   me   that  my  name  was  used
 {although  my  name was spelt wrong}.
 They should have rang back to confirm
 the  address and phone number because
 my  real  address was used.  But they
 did  not  do this.  So I arranged for
 them  not to accept any adverts using
 my  name and address and phone number
 so this could not happen again.
    It  was because of this that I was
 accused  of  been  a police informer.
 So  you  now  know  the truth of what
 happened.   I  did not dob anyone in,
 nor  would I under any circumstances.
 I  have  been  in  the computer scene
 since  1989, first on the C64 and now
 the Amiga also.
