AMIGA Plus Disk Instructions
 If this is your original disk that came with AMIGA Plus,
           PLEASE MAKE A COPY IMMEDIATELY!

    You will be given the opportunity to print this file (Disk6.doc) after
    you exit this text display program.  Look at the bottom of this window
    for MORE instructions.

    This disk features the following programs which can all be run by
    double-clicking on their icons from the Workbench:

Phasar 3.0 - This award-winning home accounting and tax preparation program
    takes up almost an entire disk... so we compressed it to about half that
    size.  To decompress it, we have provided an installation script which
    will decompress Phasar 3.0 onto a floppy disk or hard disk partition of
    your choice.  Simply click on the MakePhasar icon, hold down the shift
    key, and double-click on the disk or drawer into which Phasar should be
    installed.  When you have finished you will have ALMOST all the files
    which Phasar 3.0 needs, and zoo.doc the manual for Zoo, the file
    redistributable compression utility on this disk. Phasar will need to
    create the files Phasar.reg and Phasar.nam when you actually begin
    doing YOUR finances, and customize them appropriately.  PhTax is a
    separate module which will generate tax forms (1988 included... sorry)
    and other reports from your financial circumstances as told to Phasar.
    It will also work without this data, letting you fill in the form,
    while it does the "add line #86b to line #142c and divide by
    the number of left-handed dependents over 6' tall residing with
    you" type of stuff.  The MakePhasar script can be used from the CLI
    as well as from the workbench.  If you just double-click on it, it will
    guide you through the installation. This is probably the best option
    for Amiga users with only one disk drive.


PrintPal - The utility whose time came a while ago is finally here!  By Aki
    Rimpilainen and me, this re-write of our pointer utilities (on AMIGA
    Plus Disk#4) will save your Preferences printer settings to a
    small file called PrtData.prt with an icon.  When you double-click this
    icon, PrintPal will restore those printer settings.  To make this useful,
    you will probably want to save several printer settings under different
    names (of course). You could then switch from printing horizontal, page
    size graphics to postage stamp size pics to letter quality text to tiny
    text for long listings, with just a mouse-click.  The process is simple:
    Find a combination of printer settings in the Preferences program (on
    your Workbench disk) which work well for you, select USE or SAVE, and
    double-click on the PrintPal icon.  This will create a file called
    PrtData.prt in the drawer which PrintPal is in.  To see the file, close
    and reopen the drawer. Rename the file appropriately by clicking on it
    and selecting Rename from the Workbench menu.  Now go to Preferences, set
    up your next most useful configuration and repeat the steps above.
    C-Language source code (PrintPal.c) is also on disk.


BASIC Art Coder - Another commercial product, the BASIC Art Coder is a unique
    Amiga paint program written in BASIC primarily for BASIC programmers.
    The program lets you create simple graphics which are saved as BASIC
    instructions to reproduce the drawing.  In most cases this file will be
    much smaller than an IFF version.  In addition, BASIC programmers can
    include these graphics into their programs without the nuisance of
    loading IFF pics or brushes.  The files for the BASIC Art Coder are also
    compressed.  To decompress them, simply click on the MakeArtCoder icon,
    hold down the shift key, and double-click on the disk or drawer into
    which the BASIC Art Coder should be installed. This script will also copy
    AmigaBASIC from the Extras 1.2 or 1.3 disks (or any other disk with
    AmigaBASIC in its root directory) onto the disk with the Art Coder, if
    you want it to. The BASIC Art Coder requires AmigaBASIC to run.

BallBench - Aki's silly new twist on the classic PONG game.  Double-click on
    the BallBench icon in the BallBench drawer to play.  BallBench starts in
    a demo mode with your Amiga controlling both players.  Use the menus to
    switch players and control game play options.  To exit click on the close
    gadget in the upper left corner of the score window.  Try playing this
    while one of the ScANIMs is running!

OneLiner - Dr. Dan Wolf's handy little CLI replacement utility lets you use
    and repeat CLI commands with a mouse click. Double-click on the OneLiner
    icon to start the program.  Click on NEW to erase the current command
    text, then type in your own command and click on EXEC to execute it.
    Output fromn the command will show up in the small window which opens
    behind the OneLiner window.  You will probably want to resize this
    window.  To change the directory OneLiner looks at, use a command like
    "ASSIGN OL: DF1:".  This is necessary because OneLiner ALWAYS uses OL: as
    its default directory.  The source code is oneliner.asm.

FernPhantom and JustSayYo! - Two animations I made with Photon Paint II
    and the Sharp/ASDG ScanLab package.  To fit the FernPhantom on disk,
    I had to cut it from 15 frames to 9, and remove the overscan.  Read the
    next section for viewing details.

SuperView3.0 - The newest version of David Grothe's incredible IFF picture
    display program...now does animations too!  This redistributable utility
    is used to display my short scANIMs "FernPhantom" and "JustSayYo!"on
    this disk. Hit the space bar to freeze the anim, return to advance the
    frame, and escape or the right mouse button to exit.  The tab key will
    now stop the default color-cycling on many DPaint pics. Full docs for
    SuperView3.0 are also included.


     This disk contains the source code for our PrintPal utility
     (printpal.c). It also holds oneliner.asm the assembly language source
     for Dr. Dan Wolf's column, and icon.fix a bug fix for the icon utility
     on AMIGA Plus disk #5.  The bug only affected the C-language
     code generation feature of Icon, so anyone who noticed it can now fix
     it with ease.

   The entire disk has been processed with Blitz A Disk (B.A.D.) from M.V.
   Micro (distributed by Centaur Software Inc.) in order to speed up disk
   access. The format is the same as all AmigaDOS disks, but the files have
   been reorganized so that the icons are found and displayed quickly.
